Growing up, the 86th/Meredith location was the closest (and probably cheapest) pizza joint near my parents house; fond memories... of 2 of us splitting a large Hawaiian pizza many times, siren and lights for birthdays... did they even do carryout back then???Have only had a Hawaiian maybe 3-4 times since, never as good as HJ's. Anyway, last time we ate there was >40 yrs ago, since wemoved to SoCal. This trip back, I decided to get a small Hawaiian here for old times sake. We can cross that off our bucket listnow... pizza was better than average carry out, but this satisfied me for life. Are there any good pizza places in Urb? Haven'tfound one yet.???? Read more

Horrible food. This used to be our favorite taco pizza. What we got tonight was disgusting. We'll never order there again.

Pizza was ordered and delivered through Uber Eats. The pizza was cold and didn't match what was ordered. The crust was like... cardboard and the toppings were scarce. Uber Eats gave us a partial refund. Happy Joe's couldn't or wouldn't do anything aboutit. Have asked my wife to not let me order Happy Joe's again. Unfortunate as they used to have awesome pizza. We will get acheap frozen pizza next time I am hungry for Happy Joe's and be happier. Read more

Haven't had Happy Joe's in a long time, and we were very disappointed. The pizza and pretzels were cold. The pizza was burnt and... tasteless. Used to be that Happy Joe's had the best taco pizza in town, but I'll stick with Casey's from now on. Read more

Placed an order at 7pm waited two hours for delivery and was notified my order was cancelled because they were closed. Edit:... ended up trying again the next day, decided to order online again instead of calling in to not get preferential treatment tomake up for the previous issue, so that I could make an accurate assessment. In the end, the pizza showed up in a reasonableamount of time. I was put off by the cost, but when it showed up it was a pretty darn hefty pizza, so the cost was justified bythe amount of food. As for the taste, it was good. There was a few problems, the sauce wasn't evenly distributed, and there wastoo much of it. Near the crust was perfect, but as you got to the center there was way too much. Next time I would order withlight sauce. The sausage was delicious, but the cheese seemed a little bland (however, this might have been because it wasoverpowered by the sauce). Also, for anyone looking for a deep dish pizza, this is more of a Detroit style pan pizza than aChicago styled deep dish. All in all, it was a good pizza, I'd rate the second experience a 4*, but deducting 1* due to theprevious order issue. Based on this experience, and without having tried the regular crust, I think I'll stick with my usualpizza spots, and save this deep dish for when I feel like mixing things up. I will get around to trying the regular crust atsome point and will update this review with my feelings on that. Read more
