Reviews for Pita Pit in Urbandale, IA
Super disappointed! Pita pit used to be amazing and incredible however tonight..was horrible. We were served by a blonde haired... kid along with a brown haired kid. Throwing stuff around, throwing pens, dropping pens, etc. We got kicked out of the dining at5:51pm saying the dining area closed at that time in the middle of my meal. There was lettuce and tomato and trash on the floorat 2 different tables super gross. Not to mention my boyfriend asked for buffalo sauce on his pita..got teriyaki, we didn?t wantto bother telling the kids as they were already visibly in a bad mood. Very disappointed and wish we didn?t have that experienceas pitapit on merle hay used to be our fave fast food. :/ I?d give 0 stars but there?s no option for that so 1 will do. Read more
Really like the baja chicken bacon ranch pita
I love the food here and usually I love the service. This particular visit I was told that they were closing the dining room in... 20 minutes and that we couldn't sit down. However we discovered a part nearby that was very nice and sat down and ate there. Read more

Really good. Healthy food. Friendly people. Fair priced.
Pita Pit is incredibly delicious. Not only that but their food is so healthy and fresh and everything made right in front of... you. Personally, I enjoy ordering a rice bowl, my wife prefers the Pita's. I usually order a falafel rice bowl and I will addevery veggie they have thrown on the grill and seasoned with cajun spice. I also really enjoy their sauces like the shug saucewhich has a jalapeno base. Seriously, great food. Not to mention, their staff is always kind and friendly and their restauranthas been crazy clean every time I have visited. A+ p.s. - The photo I attached was my at-home attempt to recreate one of theirbowls. I got to say, mine is pretty delicious too but it takes a lot longer to make, lol. Read more
This was our first Pita Pit and we were pleased with the concept of build your own pita. The menu was a little confusing, but... the two fellows working there gave us a quick explanation even though we had 15 minutes to eat before closing. I had thechicken breast with tomatoes, cukes, olives, feta and ranch dressing. I would have liked a yogurt based dressing, but this wastasty. The young men working there wished us a good night and safe travels on the way out . Read more
