I wasn?t sure what to expect when we stopped in but WOW. Definitely one of the best burgers I?ve had in years between the... quality of the beef and the flavor, I was speechless. And the cheese curds are sooo good. A great menu, even better service andincredible flavors. Read more
Steak wrap had no flavor. Fries were cold and hard. Caesar salad is very small. The chairs were extremely uncomfortable. Servers... acted like we were bothering them, but the place wasn't busy and one was on her phone and the other disappeared into the backroom. Read more
Nice place to stop after hiking or passing through on the bike! Great drink menu, tons of beer on tap, decent food selection! I... highly recommend the massive pretzel with beer cheese as an appetizer. Holy cow it was good!! We got burgers and they weredelicious! Bathrooms are super small so don?t plan on taking your date in there for a quickie. Great service, fun atmosphere,good food, but it may take you a couple circles around the block to find parking. After hiking at Starved Rock State Park, three of us stopped here for a late lunch (Friday, 1pm). There were about two dozen... beers on tap with a wide selection from local Illinois brewers (yay!), and we sampled a few. We ordered the beer batteredcheese curds for an appetizer--they were probably the best cheese curds ive ever had. I could've eaten just those and lefthappy. Our mains were the crispy chicken sandwich, fish snd chips, and chicken wrap. I had the chicken sandwich--it was a taddry on the edges but still good. Our son loved the chicken wrap--it was a very generous size and they were happy to leave outthe onion. My hubs liked the fish--I tried it and the outside was light snd crispy and the inside nice and tender. The tartarsauce was yummy (I can't abide store-bought). Our server was busy but friendly and accommodating. We read the ratings and itseems their burgers are what people come here for...so we'll be back next time we're in the area. Read more
