This was one of our best restaurant experiences ever - - great food, great hospitality and wonderful atmosphere. If you've ever... walked into an Italian restaurant and knew it was old school Italian and made to feel like family from the moment you walked in,this is that place. The vodka Riggies were excellent as well as the lasagna special. We will come back here next time we areeven close to Utica!! This family business is A #1!!! Check it out for yourself. We had an amazing dinner at the Ambassador on Saturday 8/13/22. We were visiting from Maryland and our friends took us to... dinner there. Food was amazing as well as the service. Driving through the state and stopped for a late night dinner. Met by the owner and greeted graciously, waitress was fantastic... and so inviting! The food was beyond good and we loved the atmosphere and the family owned business. Worth the stop andconversation! Would stop again. Read more
You would think that good Italian food would be easy for find around here, but this is not always the case! Ambassador, however,... really hit the spot for us. We ended up here on accident, but were SO glad we did. The atmosphere is quite nice, relaxing andromantic. The wait staff are wonderful, (the young man who was taking his role of unofficial host was a sweetheart as well,)and it's just a pleasant dining experience all around. I had a glass of cabernet for $9. It was worth it- excellent wine, andplenty of it. No regrets there! For an appetizer, we got the Ambassador Greens. It's Utica. You have to try the greens and theriggies, right? Well, these were some of the best we've had. I love Utica greens, and my partner does not, but these? he hadalmost the entire plate by himself! I got to taste the steak park of his filet riggies, which he very much enjoyed. I got thehaddock Alaska. Now, I'm very particular with my seafood. My first preference for it is raw, but if I'm going to have it cooked,it had best not be overcooked. I'm pleased to say that my dish was cooked well- still tender and juicy! Be warned- it only comeswith one shrimp and two small scallops, but they're tasty. The fish filet was a good size, and cooked properly. The SAUCE,though! I've been disappointed with a lot of cream sauces here in CNY, but they REALLY did this sherry-cream sauce justice. It'sdelightful. Balanced, and not at all bland. We will be back! Read more

Well I have ordered food from the Ambasador Restaurant about 5xs, recently, everytime never give us our salads, or... potato,..today we came to the fact that they don't care, salmon ambassador, was very sweet and I had to throw it in themicrowave because I didn't feel it was cooked, no salads, but done, my review and opinion not to mention, Salmon Ambassador, and Rigatoni with 2 meatballs,..round about $50??!!!!
