OMG my husband brought me here for the first time. I totally loved it, we had the Cajun Dungeness Crabs, Shrimps, Crayfish it... also came with potatoes, sausage, corn we also added Cajun fries as an additional side. We had one of the shared options (#2)and it was more than enough for both of us as we even took some home. At the price range as it's a bit pricey (for us with theabove mentioned plus couple drinks and tip we spent $150) it was 'worth it' as we all need to treat ourselves at times. What they show on the menu is not what you get. If you thought you'd be eating out of a bowl with silverware, think again. ... Gumbo wasn't bad but most seafood restaurants peel the shrimp before battering & deep frying it. Chairs were uncomfortable,service was mediocre. Value just isn't there. If you're from Louisiana or anywhere or Cajun food is popular within the South this will not meet your standard but you will be... content and somewhat satisfied. The Crawfish is Frozen and not live. So ultimately that will affect the taste. But everythingelse is decent and tasty. I'm originally from Louisiana and used to seafood boils but this location is of course in Californiaso it will not meet the standards that we are accustomed to. I enjoyed my experience and the staff was friendly but they forgotto bring the cokes we ordered when all of the other drinks arrived. The Establishment is clean overall. We got the number onecombo with clams, muscles and shrimp flavored mild. It was satisfying and enough for two people. I will go again to work my waydown the menu because of a positive experience. First off, I must admit I don't eat seafood. Why do I eat at a restaurant that specialize in seafood? I will do anything to keep... my wife happy. As usual when I come with her to a spot like this I order chicken. This is about the fourth place like this we'vebeen to. I'm definitely not a complainer. Just check out my many reviews. After receiving my wings five minutes after the fries,I noticed they were all flats. I asked the waiter about it and he said, "Because it's a seafood place they added wings forothers who don't eat seafood." He then said "They only serve flats." I have never heard of that before. Is there a chicken flatsonly distributer? If that was the case, they should charge less and mention it upon ordering. At that point I would have orderedthe chicken strips. I will never spend my money here again. I ordered an $80 crab boil to go. The crab shell was dirty and the inside of the crab... was not cleaned out. The guts spread throughout the bag and on to the rest of my food. When I called the restaurant a managerproceeded to offer me 25% off a future purchase. Read more
Despite the reviews that I have read on Yelp, I decided to try it out anyway. .. ???? BIG MISTAKE! When I arrived, the parking... lot was basically empty, there were 4 cars, including mine! I was seated immediately and the waitress came over to bring waters.Every drink comes I'm a to-go cup with no lids...you have to ask for that. I asked for a drink menu, the waitress asks me if Ihave a phone to scan the code. .. I was on my phone at the time so I told her she can leave it on the table and I'd scan. ..wellit was her personal QRC that she was nice enough to loan me for a few minutes. Reviewing the menu. .. no a la carte, not toomany options, especially to mix & match! If you like seafood you know you want crab, shrimp and something else. I orderedappetizers, fried oysters (no taste) and fried okra (seasoned and good!) Fast forward to my family joining we are all decidingon what to order. You cannot substitute fries for onion rings; you cannot mix and match sliders, and again, no a la carte. Mydad wanted to try the different sliders so he order one type and I ordered the other so we can swap one out. My sister orderedthe king crab build your own bag, my bonus mom ordered wings and fries, and I ordered the combo and was able to so twoselections of shrimp because there was nothing else I wanted and clams. When we went it was completely empty, so it's hard to judge atmosphere, but the decor looks amazing. Prices for the baskets are... not bad. Decent for seafood. The boils are pricey! Everything else is breaded. The breading is crunchy but its literally all ofthe flavor, none of the seafood flavor comes through. Server seemed nice, greeted us well.
