The 1 star is for the value of the food that you are paying for. The employees who work for minimum wage are doing their best!... No one can survive with that hourly wage in the Bay Area including Vacaville. It is incredible how a company is selling breadfor gold! I am from out of town and was stranded with a disabled car near the restaurant. Employee Emily was on her way to work on her... bicycle, She stopped to ask if I was okay and wanted me to know she cared. I told her I was fine and my son was on his way fromthe base. Emily literally told me to stop by the restaurant after I was all situated so she could treat me to breakfast. I wasabsolutely blown away. I didn?t make it to the restaurant but I will NEVER forget the kindness Emily showed me at a veryvulnerable time. Vacaville Panera, you have a Diamond in Emily. Thank you Emily. Read more

Something is off here and I can?t quite put my finger on it. I ate her twice during my visit to Vacaville recently it just seems... like the employees don?t care from the time that your order is being taken to the time that your order is ready they just don?tcare. It seems like you are a nuisance to the person that?s taking your order and it seems like you?re an even bigger nuisanceto the people who are preparing your order when you?re standing there waiting for it. Somethings just not right here there needsto be some serious customer service training from the top to the bottom. The food is also very inconsistent I ordered the samething twice and they were vastly different both times different bread different spread on the bread different consistency to thesoup just is not the Panera that you?re used to. I've eaten at plenty of panera's to know this one ( located in nut tree shopping center in Vacaville) lacks in food quality.... Both the sandwiches I ordered had brown wilted lettuce used in it, we had to take all the lettuce off our sandwiches and theNapa chicken salad was bland tasting. Terrible sandwiches. I think they were poorly made because it was to go and not dine in. Iwould have complained there had we not been traveling to Oregon and was too far down the highway to turn around. Read more
This is what my sons sandwich looked like when he opened it. Normally we get decent sandwiches, this time I'm very disappointed.... For a meal over $50 this is unacceptable. My boys were hungry and it was raining otherwise I would have gone back to get a freshnon-fingered sandwich. The soups we got were delicious. My suggestion is to NOT get the regular sandwich bread and get asandwich on a roll. Otherwise, Panera's has excellent food. Read more
