Exquisite dinner… among us we had the halibut, the salmon, and the steak. We started with amazing BBQ oysters, French onion... soup, and the soup of the day—an incredible acorn squash and crab bisque. The bartender knew our signature drink, Death in theAfternoon (absinthe and champagne). Bob and Fernando were wonderful. Thank you for making our anniversary dinner so special! Read more

We hosted a lovely private dinner for our company retreat at La Tour! Chad was amazing in helping coordinate the event and... helping us finalize every little detail and the staff was incredible and very helpful. Everyone was extremely complimentary ofthe food, the extensive menu and the service! Read more

My FAVORITE meal from Vail and probably the entire trip. I ordered the Branzino which was fantastic and my husband ordered the... prime manhattan steak. Read more

This was the upscale place we chose to have dinner at during our trip. Overall the food was mediocre for the price. Halibut was... drier than expected. My partner who got the chicken entrée was also not that impressed. These dishes were about $49 and $39.For these prices I expected a melt in your mouth piece of fish and it was not that. The $7 bread basket was dry, cold, thinpieces of bread—expected something warmed up at least. It was also $8 per bottle of still water, and $10 for a small cup ofcappuccino that was prob 8oz. They charged an extra $6 for an extra shot on top of a $16 aperol spritz. I get that this is atourist spot but at least make the food good? I’ve paid comparable prices at restaurants before but I never left feelingregretful. Read more

The vegan maitake entree was delicious. If the service and decor had matched the tastiness of the food, this review would’ve... been a 5/5. Our server was overly pushy and rude to us. First, when we answered “yes” to his “is it just water for you alltoday?” he showed displeasure and asked a few more times on whether we’d like a drink. Second, I had brought my water bottleinto the restaurant, and when I answered “no” to his “can I put this behind you?” he pushed back and wouldn’t take theno. I was afraid that I would forget the water bottle; it would’ve been nice if he had just taken the “no” and moved on.Third, my friends ordered the cheese platter, and when they asked him which of the cheeses mentioned on the menu he’drecommend, he snapped back “well there’s only three cheeses so I’d say those three cheeses.” The attitude was completelyunnecessary, and he made sure to let us know that we weren’t welcomed in the restaurant. Suffice to say, the restaurant’sdecor was outdated, the menu had fine-dining level price tag, and the restaurant was only a quarter-full; I wish the tableservice was normal because I would’ve enjoyed my food a heck lot more. Had a fabulous Christmas Eve meal at La Tour. The service, intimate decor, and food were outstanding. I had what was probably... the best duck breast dish ever! The meal is going to be expensive but it is well worth it for the experience. Needless to say,I'd highly recommend having a special meal at La Tour. Read more
