The food was beautiful and delicious. However, the price is much too high considering we are sharing small plates.

The plates looked beautiful and some were enjoyable but the wine pairings were not very good, one smelled like dirty socks... (cider), another tasted like it was corked and whatever was paired with the sorbet was equally awful, a champagne or vodka wouldhave been much better and water inbetween courses would have been great. Went to this restaurant because it was recommended by close friends that really enjoyed the experience and dishes. To be... absolutely fair, this restaurant is always changing their menu, innovating if you'd like, which is great. However, when I wentwith my GF, their menu was innovative, obviously, but I have a hard time wrapping my head around a $65/person dish, forbasically no proteins! With the exception of a small portion of foie gras (vert strong flavour) and one small portion of bloodpudding, (it really is an acquired taste, wasn't ours!), the rest was all vegetable! Wow, this place was incredible! The ambiance was great music choice progressed as the night went on. The owner picked a bunch of... plates didn't even need to look at the menu! He didn't miss every plate was exceptional! Well balanced, subtle flavours thatjust worked! One of the stand outs was the pre desert almost a foie gras with a blueberry compote type dish with a brioche!Rich, creamy, sweet and balanced! We drove 45mins to get here and I would drive another 45 on top of you're anywhere near hereyou must go! This place is totally worth the visit! Seriously. We had fantastic service, ate like royalty and were provided excellent wine... choices by the sommelier. Rather than opt for the tasting menu, we basically created our own and indulged! En plus, they?ve evengot fabulous cocktails and local ?liquids? to satisfy everyone?s tastes.
