We were driving from Nebraska to the Black Hills and stopped at Valentine for a quick lunch. This place has good sandwiches and... pizzas. An absolute surprise find on our road trip - doesn't look like much from the outside, but the inside was amazingly crafted, the... sandwiches were great and there was a lot to browse while waiting for the fresh food to be made. (Check their bulk candy!) Read more
A real gem. I don?t know where you?re coming from or where you?re going, but you should plan to stop here. The food was... delicious, the market was awesome, and the service was so friendly. They also had merch and a coffee area opening in a coupleweeks! We really loved stopping for dinner and doing some grocery shopping! Truly an impressive place. Read more
Well I don't like being the first for a bad review, but my experience wasn't very positive. First I walked up to the counter... and three people, one who appeared to be either an owner or manager, walked away. One young gal finally came and took my orderand she seemed new or confused. It was just one of their normal sandwiches off the board. Well, after waiting for 25 minutesand having four other people who came in after me get their orders, I just left. Maybe they were just having a bad day, I willhave to try again next time I am in town. Read more
I like finding a local place to eat, rather than just a fast food place that all tastes the same. Well, this one is on a must... have list! Sandwiches are amazing. (I haven't tried the pizza, yet) I've had a different kind of sandwich, every time I'vegone, and there are none on an "avoid list". Very delicious, and way fancier than Subway. They also have shelves, with variousdried fruits and nuts, and candy. Fancy cheeses... Also, a bakery, and shelves of mugs and various knick knacks. Wow!! The caramel apple pecan cinnamon roll gets a 10/10. I have never had a cinnamon roll that good, and I will never be... satisfied will any cinnamon roll after having this one from the Old Mill. I hope they have them the next time I come!! Excitedfor the coffee shop to open. The storefront is very unique and the sandwich I had was good. The Italian, I believe. I did feellike the sandwiches were a little expensive. The staff is very, very friendly though and you can't beat that! Update: coffeeshop is open!!!!
