I called to see what time they closed because I was coming from a further distance and I wanted my food to be hot on arrival.... The man who answered the phone replied they closed at 11 PM. I called back 15 minutes later and they never answered only to getthere and be informed they stop taking phone orders at 10 PM. First time ordering from JJ Fish today. Disappointed! Filet Sole and Jumbo Prawns was way over cooked. Spent $30 via Door Dash.... 3 small pieces and hard too. I thought to catch them early, plus it's Friday. New oil for deep frying, it's early. The potatosalad is store bought too...SMH! I will go back to Dixon Fish in Oakland. Great food. We tried the catfish, perch, chicken and shrimp. They were not stingy with the sauces. Loved it.

The fish waz very delicious, catfish nuggets, tilapia, and the Buffalo fish, the hush puppies were great, and my dad really... enjoyed the banana pudding. Will be going back and could make it a fish and seafood Friday. Service was great and veryconsiderate. There are many more things I would like to try on there menu. So go enjoy and U be the judge. Hole in the wall spot but the food is amazing. Little pricy but for the $ we paid we got a TON of food and it was all great. ... Breaded and fried Sole, Jumbo Shrimp, and Chicken strips the size of a half-breast and fries and toast on rhe side...so good. Read more
