Leaving the airport with food on the brain. We decided on Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood. Greeted by the manager, informed him that... we wanted to place a to-go order, he was kind enough to offer us a table. He took the time to explain the specials and askedif we had questions. That was great customer service! The atmosphere was chill with really cool Halloween decorations, themusic was good, the to-go order taker?s service needs improvement but the food? the Catfish & Cod Baskets with Cajun fries weredelicious????. I ordered shrimp and garlic. First the garlic was big and chunky! I've never seen any thing like that. I couldn't even enjoy my... dinner. They could have at least grated the garlic. On top of that the food was way too salty. What was the worst for me wasthat they give you plastic fork to eat with- and not the sturdy ones! So a big heavy ceramic plate with spaghetti and a flimsyplastic fork! I was appalled! I could barely scoop up the spaghetti without getting my hands dirty because of the flimsy plasticfork. This is not a good place to sit down for any special occasion. The fries and shrimp that my friends ordered wasn't badthough. To add more, whilst eating, someone was sweeping the floors right next to us! Lol....Here I was well dressed for myanniversary and bam!! So beware guys! Good for a regular grab and go kind of thing. The chefs in this place are not right. I came because I love soups in hook and reel restaurants and they bring me expired soup,... after I ask to change it and they bring that white soup than the flavor was just like cream and not like a real soup.Disappointed and my housband get the Long Island drink with extra alcohol and it wasn?t hard and also the cup was dirty? mmm Iguess they manager need to check the services at this place? I was surprised with a birthday party at this hook and reel. I was aggravated at first that people were insistent on having my... birthday dinner at the hook and reel. Hell I even made reservations somewhere else because who wants to have a birthday at hookand reel? But I was wrong. This place was amazing, the food was good, the drinks were phenomenal and the DJ was superb. I evenran through the restaurant with about 30 people when the DJ played follow the leader. Such tasty foods and servers seems nice. Their seafood was so full of flavour and my groupies all enjoyed. My choice of drink... ?creamsicle? was absolutely light and delicious.
