Alaska has a huge coffee culture that is almost completely absent from the Midwest, except for places like Fluid. Every time I... make the trek down to visit home in Valpo I have to walk down Lincolnway and get a drink here. I came in the other day for the first time with a friend that comes here often and we had an absolutely wonderful experience.... Carter took great care in making us feel welcome: he gladly walked me through the menu and gave incredible drink recommendationsand even brought us glasses of water while my friend and I were sitting and chatting. The shop itself has that super coolcontemporary coffee shop atmosphere but still feels very welcoming to anyone that wants to stop in for a drink or baked goods.I absolutely will be back soon. After going to Fluid South Valpo, Fluid Michigan City, and this location, I can say with full confidence this is the superior... Fluid location. They have the same drink choices, but the place they're made in and the people making it are very different. Atthe time of this review my drink was made by Carter, who was extremely helpful in explaining coffee techniques and brands ofbeans and just chatting about things in town. Alfie was also quite helpful and entertaining! Every employee you'll meet at thislocation is very knowledgable and overall they're all great people. As for the coffee, this is the only specialty café in townbut even if there was another, this one is the best. Their drinks are crafted to where there's an option for everyone.Traditional milk drinks, sweet specialty drinks, or a stronger specialty drink. My personal favorite is the Novus Ordo, hotinstead of iced (hot tastes stronger). I can't say enough positive things about this location, seriously, if you like coffeeit's a must to visit! Read more

I absolutely love FLUID for multiple reasons. First and foremost the employees and employers! They are welcoming, inviting,... informative and have created a fun atmosphere. The food is delicious and the coffee is fire! The menu changes throughout theyear which I like because you never get sick of having the same thing. I like the creativity behind the food and drinks. Istarted going to FLUID when they only had the Valpo location but I believe they have expanded to three or four locations now.Must stop shop!! Read more
