First visit was excellent. My steak was prepared to a perfect medium and the asparagus was not crunchy nor soft. The home made... potatoes were the best we've ever had. Cocktails were different but mixed and pared well with food. Definitely had a betterdining experience than kelseys, and was not as expensive. Will revisit to try other parts of the menu. Read more

This place is Valpo's little secret. Located right downtown next to the court house. Parea offers a great atmosphere for drinks... after work with friends, a great place for a reunion, a business meeting, or even a romantic dinner with your significant other.I had the fig jam and goat cheeseburger. Shelley had the mahi mahi potatoes and broccoli. The burger was cook to perfection andthe mahi-mahi has never been more tender. The magician behind the bar Amber made some amazing drinks. I got the Parea burger. It was one of the best burgers of my life! It has saganaki on it, caramelized onions, and garlic-cracked... pepper aioli. Stopped in here for first time and found it pretty relaxed and comfortable. Drinks were good (raspberry martini) and bartender... was friendly. I ordered the filet mignon medium rare and although it was more toward medium really enjoyed the taste of thesteak. I really haven't had a better tasting steak in area for a while, mashed potatoes were good too. I will be back to sampleother things on menu. Read more
This is a really nice restaurant, very classy decor. There was soft jazz playing in the softly in the background and it's a... really nice place to have date night. We were greeted and seated right away and our server promptly took our order. My wifeand I chose the filet and it was really good. Mine was ordered medium rare and hers was medium and both were perfect. The mashedpotatoes were homemade and very tasty. The grilled asparagus was tender and good.
