I write this heartfelt review with a lot of hope, compassion, and tranquility. The atmosphere of this restaurant was beyond the... stars in the sky. The ray of sun shine, our server Jenna, brought to the table was extraordinary. Bringing us her warm embraceand expertise of the menu, made it a historic night I will never forget. A beautiful restaurant and delicious food. Give yourselves plenty of time as with the drinks, salads, and appetizer it was over... an hour for the main entrees to arrive and we ordered all of the food together. We overheard from the couple next to us who alsosaid "we have been here for an hour" and had yet to receive their dinner. The place was not overly busy so I am curious if it isjust part of the process. Read more
Unfortunately I was highly disappointed with the Food here. Not authentic at all the bolognese sauce was far from flavorful.... Chicken vodka was ok but served cold . The pros is the prices are fair for what they serve and the waitress was super nice . Read more

It has been a while since I have been at Pesto's. The food is still amazing. The famous bread sticks are always a huge hit.... Also, the calamari was excellent. I got the salmon for dinner. It was done to perfection. Will be back. Read more
Stop recommending this place to new people that never been to valpo. I came here 5 years ago when I moved to valpo and didn't... care for the food, so never came back. Then went last night because I didn't pick the place and we went with friends. WORSTSERVICE EVER , and no this is not bc of the pandemic. The pandemic is over, its 2022. The waiter forgot to bring 2 of ourdrinks, I didn't have a place setting when he knew how many of us were going to be there. We had to order our main dishes sametime as the apps bc he was that slow. Our bread sticks and bruschetta came so late and it's just bread , it should take thatlong. The side salad was basic, didn't care for it. The soup was decent. I got the vodka penne and it wasn't even a true vodkasauce, people said it was their best sauce but it wasn't. I couldn't even finish my meal and I always finish my meals. Myboyfriend got the ravioli but you can't mess that up , so that's as decent. The dessert was maybe the only best part , cremebrulee cheesecake caught my attention and the tiramisu.
