This was the cutest lil drop in for lunch on our road trip!! We both got sandwiches....Turtle Back & chips (hubby) and A-BLT... with potato salad for me. Everything tasted awesome. Service is fast and friendly. Apart from that you will get soggy floppy bacon. Sub par sanchiwches and soups. Ice cream is just... a gimmick to get you to bring your kids because the kids meal is ridiculous. Honestly people you could make a better sandwich athome. This place is nothing to write home about. Ice cream is so good! Interesting flavors that change from time to time. Standard flavors are always there though. Staff is so... friendly. Great prices too. UPDATE: Came back here 4 days later when we were on our way home so we were able to have lunch thistime. Food was AMAZING. I had the Desert Dip, and imo it's the best sandwich on the menu! Husband had the Texan, and my kidsspilt the A-BLT and the Eagle. We all had the special cup of soup which was also delicious. You have got to try this place! Read more
First time visit at VaN Horn and would have completely missed this place if it wasn't for word of mouth. The entire place was... super cute and had a really nice vibe to it, from the decor to the cleanliness. The workers were extremely friendly and invitingand gave awesome recommendations. The menu is simple and straight forward which I liked because I have such a hard timedeciding. I ended up ordering a sandwich with chips as well as a chai latte. The lunch menu comes with as side a pickle andfruit for $9 and the sandwiches are pretty big and hearty. I enjoyed my chai latte, it wasn't too sweet it was just perfect. Ialso ordered some ground coffee as they seem to be partnered up with a local roaster. Unfortunately, this time I didn't havetime for ice cream but from what I saw they have plenty of flavors and delicious desserts that I need to go back and try.Overall the ambiance and the uniqueness makes this place a must visit for everyone passing through, I will definitely return next time I pass by. We got there just before they closed at 2 but they graciously fixed what we ordered and never made us feel we had to hurry up... and eat. All were very nice and the food was so delicious! Read more
