I?ve paid a lot more for authentic Persian food. You eat on paper plates, but thru don?t skimp in the food: real saffron on the... rice, bread baked in house. The cucumber yogurt sauce was A1. Personally I was glad they don?t overdo it on lemon in the humus.The chicken chunks of my kabob were juicy and season to perfection. Get the Persian tea with your meal. This restaurant is partof the Renaissance reviving Van Nuys Blvd near City Hall. They added free a tad of lentil soup that made me want to order awhole bowl. Read more
Delicious, fresh and authentic food. I didn't expect that they can made such a wonderful meals. Quality of the meet and how they... prepared it was on the top. We enjoyed everything with great pleasure. I parked my car at the front on th3 Van Nuys street andpicked up our food. They told me they have backside parking, need to find it next time. Absolutely delicious! We ordered five different entrees and three appetizers and two deserts! This food is not just great for... the price, it's great at any price! Their version of lentil soup is surprisingly tangy and the perfect starter. The eggplantBabaghaniush was fresh and not oily at all and made for a great dip for their home made flatbread. The sirloin was lean, juicy,perfectly marinated, and super tender. The chicken kabob was lemony saffrony heavenly! I particularly liked the spicy mincedchicken kabob that kept me guessing about the secret ingredient. Home made humus came in 3 flavors which also made great dips.Don't forget the jalapeño and the cucumber yogurt sauces. So delicious! And the staff was so welcoming and nice. My bf and I ordered a chicken plate each and shared a koobideh plate for... some variety. The chicken wasn't dry at all--juicy and delicious, bursting with flavor. I'm always a huge fan of koobideh, andthis didn't disappoint at all. They have a variety of hummus and dips -- we tried the avocado hummus, regular, and yogurtcucumber. All super fresh and wonderful. The meal is hearty and healthy and they make all their pita bread fresh-bakedin-house! Can't wait to come by again. Read more
Really yummy and fresh. We ate it so fast I forgot to take a picture. Seriously, the size is huge, enough for two. I got the... turmeric lemon chicken sandwich (I think that was the name), with a side of spicy hummus and cucumber yogurt. And it came with alentil soup, that was flavorful and delicious, and a soda. We can't wait to come back and try the rest of the food. I highlyrecommend the spicy hummus! I need to get a whole tub next time. Top tier food. We got the spicy ground chicken kebab, and vegeterian kebab; and both of them met our high expectations. I... believe the kebab was the best I've ever had. The rice was fresh. Chicken was juicy and flavorful. Salad was fresh. Spicyyogurt, and cucumber yogurt were amazing. Pita bread could have been slightly better. We dined inside the restaurant, streetparking was easy and cheap to find nearby. They didn't take long to prepare our food. Read more
