First time having this cuisine and I'll be honest this is a 50/50 situation. I loved half of the items we tried. Do not try if... you don't like heat. But this is a place you should try regardless. Read more

Y?all? READ THE REVIEWS AND THE RESTURANTS RESPONSES!! Omg?why would you trust these people to make your food? They literally... call customers dumb. I don?t even normally leave reviews but this is ridiculous. There?s a reason this place is always empty.Just like everyone else has said? The woman who works here is quite unfriendly and makes me uncomfortable every time I come in. Igrew up in a nigerian community and know how to order food, I get the same thing every time but she always acts like she doesn?tknow what I?m talking about. It?s a simple order of ?meat with red stew? with rice? But she gets very semantic and always saysit?s ?red stew and meat?.. so strange... The food is also extremely overpriced . You get 3 pieces of meat w stew and rice forlike 30 dollars?Extra meat is 3.50 for EACH PIECE. Feels like a scam when I can get a bag of meat for 30 dollars at the market.I love the food but it?s not worth coming here anymore. I will now have to drive 40 minutes to hopefully get better customerservice . Smh. ?Get your GED? ma?am. Read more

This place is so good! The owners were incredibly friendly and accommodating. I got the fufu and eggusi soup with friend... plantains. Everything was delicious. & they were really fast. My food was ready super quick. 10/10. Idk what the reviews aretalking about, must be grumpy people reviewing or just an off day. This place is great Read more

I?ve admittedly never eaten here but I?ve been reading the reviews for this place and will never eat here. I understand that... places can get bad reviews from time to time from people who are unfriendly. However, I can tell by the way the owner of totos?responds that the customer service is lacking at best. Talking to customers in a rude manner is a sure-fire way to losebusiness, and if you want your restaurant to do better I would work on that first. Much love <3 Read more

The food was absolutely delicious! The red stew was sweet, savory and just the right amount of spicy. (Which was on the vegan... menu, came with the side of fufu.) Fufu was nice and sticky, hand pounded yam. Plaintains came as a side item, very caramelizedrich and sweet with a beautiful consistency, perfectly ripe. If you want a full meal with Okra and fufu it is around $20, butthis is authentic and yummy. Delicious and unique flavors. Will definitely try again. Read more

I ordered from Totos' using the Postmates app. I mention this first as I've ordered dozens of times through Postmates and I've... hardly ever had a problem. The food is almost universally hot and fresh even if it takes a while to get there. However, the foodI received was absolutely room temperature. Nothing was even slightly warm. I'm going to have to blame the restaurant for thisjust based on my past experiences with Postmates. I have a feeling it sat out for a while in a box inside of a bag nowhere neara heat lamp. Also it only took 30 minutes from ordering to arriving at my door. No excuse. With that said, let's move on to theactual food. Unfamiliar with African cuisine, I decided on three different small items, sort of like appetizers. I ordered onesausage roll, one samosa and one meat pie. Also I ordered a bottle of coke (for $3.00, it was more expensive than nearlyeverything else I ordered!). After I realized everything was cold, I put everything on a plate and microwaved it for about 60seconds. That helped a lot. The sausage roll was pretty interesting, with a nice flaky crust. The samosa had a solid flavor,vegetable-forward and the mint sauce complimented it well. The meat pie was actually really good! I just wish it would havearrived hot. I'd be willing to try this spot again but only If I could get it fresh. Pretty decent food, but cold. Unfortunate. Read more

???????? NIGERIA Excerpt from Eat the World Los Angeles: At the back corner of the Village Plaza in Van Nuys, they are also one... of the only places where you can confidently order most of what is offered on the menu any day you walk in, rather than findingout this or that is not available some (most) times. Because of this, orders are given a good lead time of at least 30 minutes,so plan to call in if you do not want to wait. Read more
