Amazing Chinese restaurant inside Chinatown. We had the mantou buns and the steamed pork dumplings. Honestly the best buns... I’ve had for a long time!. Also the staff there is super friendly ! Read more

Bao Bei is an amazing intersection of traditional Chinese food and modern cooking. You can taste the chef’s appreciation for... their heritage, but they also really push the limits and add modern twists to every dish. The servers were knowledgeable aboutthe food, and had good energy. The tofu skin, fried rice, lamb potstickers, and the panna cotta really stood out as outstandingdishes. Read more

I loved this restaurant, the food was authentic yet creative, and the ambience was extremely welcoming. All the staff here were... really nice and made sure you were familiar with things on the menu. The serving is smaller than most Chinese food places, butthe fried rice was a very large portion, I also highly recommend their yuzu panna cotta, def very unique, never tried thiscombination before. I think it's my first time here. I might've gone here a long time ago when the interior looked a bit different. It's a great... place for food and drinks. The atmosphere is bustling and lively. We ordered lots and everything was delicious! Read more

My first time at Bao Bei after hearing amazing things. It did not disappoint at all! The food was great, my girlfriend and I... shared multiple plates. The beef tartare was arguably the best in Vancouver, and the fried rice with the omelet wasdelicious! If you’re looking for top notch Chinese, with great cocktails, Bao Bei is the place! Read more

Always excellent. Mantou still as good as they were when they opened. Chili fried chicken was a surprise highlight. And great... cocktails as always. Read more

The name seems like a Chinese restaurant but the food tastes doesn’t like local Chinese food. Western people may like it cuz... it’s for their taste to cook but if you are Asian don’t go there you won’t be satisfied with their food! Overall, they didreally good job on their vibe and food and every Chinese elements Read more

Totally ???? recommend this place if you enjoy Chinese food with a bit French twist! Finally we were able to make reservations... at this highly sought-after restaurant during my 3rd stay in Vancouver. And it was every bit as I would expect of it. The dishwere delicately put together. Not big quantity but the quality more than make up for it. The fried tofu and dumplings were musttries. The seasonal fish was very seasoned. The staff was very knowledgeable about the dishes and very friendly. The onlything that was not good was while waiting outside, we were constantly harassed by the homeless. Coming from Portland OR, I wassurprised how aggressive they are here in Vancouver. Overall it is a place you don’t want to miss out when you visitVancouver. Read more
