Reviews for Bells & Whistles Dunbar in Vancouver, BC

Bells & Whistles has been our go-to dine-in place when we can’t be bothered to cook for ourselves since we moved to Dunbar.... There’s not a tonne of diversity in the menu items, though there is a decent amount of gluten-free options (I’m not sure howthe kitchen handles something like celiac, though). The rotating beer menu and the specials that vary by weekday are ahighlight. Service can be a bit slow at times, but the staff are very personable. Seating inside can be sparse, but the patio iswell-heated in the winter. An upscale version of your classic neighbourhood pub. Read more

Came here for dinner on Friday Aug 26th and it was awesome. Great selection of beers, and cocktails. Service was bar none... (honestly I have eaten at high end places that don't even give this kind of service). Place was clean, servers were so friendlyand knowledgeable of menu an items. Glad this place is here in Dunbar. The patio was beautiful and we had a really really goodtime. Thank you! Read more

Love neighborhood restaurants where you don't have to worry about parking and long waits. The service was fantastic and the... food did not disappoint. What a great place to have drinks and enjoy the night. Read more

Happy to have found this spot! Love the decor and the patio is cozy. The chicken club was delicious but a little hard to eat -... maybe one too many tomatoes? ???? Also, the Macdonalds-esque paper wrapper and tray liner is cute but maybe a bit wasteful.Staff were mostly really great and the beer selection was good and varied. Will be back for sure! Read more

Stopped in for a quick drink and a snack. Beer was good. Wine was okay. But $17.75 plus tax for 8 tiny wings with a drizzle of... sauce over just half the wings?! Get outta here! Ridiculous pricing. I'd read reviews commenting on small portions, but this wasa joke. The only redeeming feature was the decent music, and the friendly waitress. Do yourself a favour, and give it a miss. Read more

Such a greaaaat burger. The French fries were also magnificent good. It comes with a special house dip sauce. I thought it had... truffles and parmesan cheese. The waitress didn't tell me the secret ingredients ???? The staff is super friendly. They alsohave a nice patio. It was sunny, but I am not sure if the patio is covered. Read more

Took my son in for lunch and was extremely disappointed with both the service and the food. I ordered the salad main course... with the tuna and my son ordered the poutine fries. Took a very long time for the food to come out and when it did, we both werevery disappointed. The portions for the price was unreasonable and the flavours were not there especially for the poutine. Vetdisappointed and would never go back again. Here’s some photos of our dishes. Read more

Nice place to relax in and grab a bite. The calamari is good, but would be better if they used bigger cuts. The small pieces... are a little dry. Sauce drizzled on the plate looks nice, but a serving of it on the side would be better. The Baja tacos arereally good. Flavours are well constructed and the textures complement each another. The classic burger was fresh and tasty. Fries were fried crisp on the outside and moist on the inside. Overall good, but doesn't really stand out. Read more
