Went with my co-workers for lunch, five of us including my self. All five of us ordered at the same time and 2 of them got their... food way before rest of us. They finished before our food came out. Then the 3rd person got his food. Then rest two of us (samemenu) got ours. People who came and ordered much later got their food before we did. They prepare the food by orders not bytables. They will make your meal first if it is easy to make and have multiple orders of the same meal. If not, they will bepushed to the last. Also their Aburi lunch special pictured is $25. Completely waste of money. Got 8 pieces or Aburi sushi, ordered at 12:05pm, received at 12:35pm. Will not be back. Read more

I find that with many sushi places you don't get that friendly service. It's more like....you go in...you order....you... pay....and you leave. There's nothing wrong with that, but if you like receiving great service, this is a sushi place that givesit. We went for lunch and the food was wonderful. Fresh, tasty and beautifully presented. The Box A for lunch had tempura, Caliroll, rice, fried chicken, sashimi and yellow watermelon to finish off. Nice! The spicy sockeye roll was delicious. The spicysauce is something in between spicy and sweet and the salmon tasted really fresh. I was quite impressed by the Pork Gyoza Iordered. It was pan-fried which is my favourite and the pork ingredient on the inside was delectable. The dip that came with thegyoza was a mix and had sesame seeds and it was very tasty (see pics). This spot will definitely be our go to sushi from nowon. Read more

We had 2 omakase: sushi and sashimi. The quality of fish was SO GOOD. None of the menus that we tried were fishy. The texture... was so good and you almost don’t need a wasabi or soy sauce to cover the fishiness. I took a star off because the quantity wastoo small compared to the price. However, I would definitely visit this place again. Read more

Authentic Japanese sushi restaurant in Downtown. They deliver fish from Japan, and food quality was amazing!!! I really loved... their Omakase Sushi set and some Aburi sushi set. We were there for the 202 dine out menu and the food was excellent. For the starter, we had the scallop motoyaki, poke with... nori, and albacore tataki; we also ordered an angus shabu shabu to warm up our body. The scallop was sweet on its own and thesauce complemented it really well. The poke was fresh but it was difficult to consume with the nori seaweed. The tuna came witha piece of garlic which took away the taste of the albacore but it went well with ponzu jelly. The shabu shabu was $38 for asmall portion of hotpot but the protein was flavourful so I thought it was worthy. For the course two, we had some hot dishes:ebimayo, black cod, egg plant, and pork belly; each one of them had its specialty. The pork belly came with daikon oden whichgave the pork a light dashi flavour. The eggplant was topped with a sweet miso paste which was delicious. The black cod wasgrilled perfectly with a citrus flavour, very refreshing. The ebimayo was then only down side I had with this course, it wasover cooked and not memorable. We also ordered the blue fin trio and beef aburi combo. The tuna nigiri was spectacular! The tunawas fresh and had high oil content (I believed it was akami, chu-toro, and o-toro). The beef aburi was excellent as well, bothangus and wagyu were tender and juicy. Over to the course three, it was a but disappointing because nothing stood out. However,we ordered the stone grilled wagyu which was on their regular menu and it was fantastic. The beef really melted in the mouth, though it was rather salty at the end. For the dessert, it said “Chef creation of the day” and we got really excited to trybut turned out to be a cheesecake they bought from other store. We were extremely disappointed because if you weren’t makingthe dessert in the house then why would you write it on the menu? Buying from others wasn’t a problem, the problem wascustomers being lied to. All in all, I’d still recommend people come and try their dine out menu because of the fre Read more

My first time here for the Dine Out Vancouver 2022. The food was amazing!!!The first 2 courses and dessert surprised us - feel... like in Japan, while the entree (sushi) was just standard. We also added the sake pairing and was good! Overall experience wasgreat and staffs are friendly. Will definitely recommend friends to come! Read more

Went here for an anniversary dinner. Did not disappoint. So happened to get a reservation in before happy hour. A reasonably... priced happy hour at that , enjoyed some basic rolls, karage and some cocktails and beer. The aburi set was nice. It's nicethat each piece was distinct in flavour. The nigiri was great as well. We also tried the whole fried fish. Might not be foreveryone but it's quite good with the sauce. Might not be a date thing to get though. Would definitely come back again. Read more
