This alcove at first glance isn?t much more than some sodas, a couple craft beers and a small steamer but has much more... offerings to anyone wielding a lucky number. A product of local provisions from the neighbourhood, dumplings themselves matchthe storefront in their small unassuming appearance. The turmeric bison was gamey with a glaze of earthy heat. If you?re out onthe patio you may have the honour of meeting Mojo, a neighbourhood legend who lives no further than the ingredients sourcedhere. Generous with a cigarette and quick to cheers a fellow patron or pedestrian, Mojo is the lifeblood of Georgia Street. I?mtold he has a permanent open tab, a level of status only achieved by the immortal. I plan to go see my new friend again and amexcited to try more dumpling flavours. Read more

Only reviewing the dumplings that I had gotten for takeout. These were consumed in about 10 minutes so I would assume the... quality did not substantially degrade. Flavors were all right but the dumpling skin though was extremely thick and tough. Valuewas definitely not there at $9.50 for four dumplings... I'm not trying to compare to other dumpling shops in Chinatown whereit's taste only and no frills but given the price point I truly expect it better tasting dumplings. Best of luck to thisspeakeasy joint as I really love the aesthetic and theme but the dumplings need more work. Read more

We ordered several numbers; 3 (Pork), 4 (Bison) and 6 (Vegan). The last one was the most tasty. But give them a second to cool... or you'll burn your mouth. We ordered the No.7 too (One of the house specials) and it was VERY unique. This one will take awhile to prepare so make sure to visit the "Irish Heather" opposite as you wait. Read more

I came here last night for my birthday and ordered the number 7. From the moment we walked in, we were treated to one of the... best customer service experiences I've ever had. The staff were super attentive and it's clear they really care about what theydo. It was lovely to chat with them. The dumplings were delicious. The star was the crispy eggplant - we ordered two! We weretold the cocktails are experimental and it shows - I've never tasted flavours like this. Absolutely amazing. I'll definitely becoming back. No 1 star review from me ???? what a great small dumpling shop. Read more

Really cool that we finally have a speakeasy here in Vancouver! I arrived first out of my party and thought it was hilarious how... the front server at blnd tgr didn't want to let me into the back that easily. Apparently you have to order something special offthe menu ;) Once you do make it inside you'll be shocked at how long and large the interior is. The decor and lighting is darkwith a nice ambience. Server super nice. Loved the drink menu concept and how each cocktail was part of a different story. Thefood is best to be shared (there were four of us) and we ordered several things. I would definitely stay away from the the xiaolong bao: the dumplings were extremely tiny and had no soup so I do not recommend! The pork belly was our favorite thing on themenu because it was soft and fatty in all the right places. Covered and cooked in yummy sauce. The drunken chicken was anotherfavorite as well. The meat was soft and poached perfectly. I enjoyed the noodles but my coworkers found it too spicy. Thefried fish was delicious but again, on the smaller side. While I was waiting for my friends, I had the bison momo dumplings. They were good but nothing special. I thought that they were covered in way too much spicy topping. Overall, the place is acool concept and great for drinks and the experience. The food menu could use some tweaking so I wouldn't come here expecting tobe full and satisfied. Read more

Love a classic speakeasy. The cocktail menu was cleverly designed and fun. Drinks were tasty and the space was beautiful. I just... wish the dumplings in front were better! The soup dumplings I got were on the dry side and didn't have much soup in them. Irecommend the cocktails much higher. Read more

BLND TGER is an incredible food experience. These hand made dumplings are on another level, with their taste and... craftsmanship. Parking is great in the area if you're driving, with two parking lots in the area. The pricing for portion isfairly priced, really good value. No public washroom, so make sure you take care of business before coming down. Staff arefriendly, and offer great suggestions. Highly recommend as a must stop in the area. Read more
