We stopped by for a quick dinner on our way to a concert downtown. We had made reservations ahead of time, and got right in. ... The service was friendly and consistent. Started with a sangria, can’t go wrong. I combined two appetizers for a main. Thewings were crispy and had a good amount of meat/breading ratio. Cactus Café is undoubtably, one of the best restaurants in Vancouver. The food is delicious, the decoration of the dishes is... very good in attractive, and the price is reasonable. Location is near major public transit routes and lots of paid parking around. We wanted to sit on the patio ( July, 2nd, 2022... 2pm) but were told it was not open on a very sunny summer day. Short-staffed? Unsure as we weren't updated as to why. We satwithin view of the patio and saw it open an hour later but didn't bother to ask to move Drinks: I ordered a PolynesianMargarita and boy was it terrible! I made the worse expression ( according to friends) and was really holding back. My friendasked to taste it to see how bad it was and her reaction reflected mine. I asked the server ( she was amazing) for more guavaand pineapple juice to make it better but even then it didn't help. I ended up asking for a new drink Frosé which was muchbetter. Food, drink, service and ambience is very good. The food was delicious, the pawn crunch roll was yummy, the med bowl was... delicious but the spaghetti portofino was not that delicious. The drinks were very well made and the new seasonal drink( spikedfrapp) was just so delicious, with a hint of coffee and sweetness). Pleasant and great experience. Went there for lunch to celebrate my wife’s birthday and all I can say is awesome!!! Dishes we... ordered were all great and yummy. First time to order a salmon for myself (usually I prefer steak) and I didn’t have anyregrets!!! came here for lunch post shopping and as a toronto girl it always amazes me how different the ambiance is between any location... in the west compared to the two we have in ontario i liked that the hostess actually scanned my proof of vaccination vs justlooking at it with my ID. i ordered a ceaser with the tuna and we shared the sushi rolls. i really enjoy the consistency of mytuna but the sushi was my favourite! we were seated on the heated patio and conveniently located as my friend had a strollerwith her.
