Very decorated Italian cafe on Commercial Drive. A good selection of Ice creams, standard choices of coffee/espresso drinks. The... place ONLY takes cash (as of Aug 2022). The place is very big, definitely enough room for strollers to move around. However, ifyou're bringing a little one, watch out because there are tons of temptations! So many statues and decoration even adults can'tstop wandering off. A nice neighborhood cafe and a fun place to take a friend visiting from elsewhere too. Read more

Always love the coffee and gelati at the Cafè Calabria! Super-strong espresso shots, and the gelato tastes freshly made!... Cash-only though, but there are two banks just a block away! If you're missing Italy, this is a good place to get a feeling ofbeing in Italy again! Read more

Total neighbourhood gem! The place is oozing Italian charm, from the selection of coffee, food, pastries, and gelato, to the... indulgent decoration, to the music selection. The owner is very genuine and friendly, and he treats everyone with the same carewhether or not they're a "regular". Coffee and sandwiches are really good, sandwiches are made to order. Gelato is the realdeal, there's a good selection, and you get about twice as much gelato for the price as you would at most gelato shops in thecity. Read more
