Visited this cafe couple of times in last few days this summer. It was always really hot inside. When inquired with the staff,... they said that the AC isn?t functional from quite sometime. Given the heat warning in BC and without AC, it?s really exhaustingto sit inside the cafe and work. Felt like a hot furnace. Could even see the staff struggling while working in such hottemperature inside with no AC. Wonder how the staff manages to work in such unfavourable environment with really hot coffeemachines running around. Hope it gets fixed soon. Read more
Randomly came into this cafe because my boyfriend saw the sign for lemonade while walking by. The baristas were really nice and... friendly. I did not get the name of the guy who took our order but he made a great recommendation and I ended up trying the newcoconut cold brew and really enjoyed it! Read more
Im an avid fan of this chain and awesome coffee joint, its outdoor seating on a sunny day instantly grabbed my attention and I... just had to swing by. The vibe is super cool and gave me nostalgia of being back in Rome or a cute little European-styleCafe. As such, I didn't hesitate one bit to pickup a 'To Good to Go' app' haul of goodies, and boy did I get a surprise! Afilo'loaded Pastry army equipped to take down anyone, fantastic value and great, fresh products made from natural and minimumingredients. I managed to pickup: Banana bread chocolate Loaf x 2 Pan au Chocolat Chocolate Cake The Loaf slices were alsoHUGE, super moist and super yum. Everything tastes very fresh and a lot of love put in from their extremely friendly staff. Thisis a really nice joint in very close to the Waterfront and always has something awesome for everyone. Really friendly and hard-working staff there. They also make a pretty good Spanish latte, which I have found hard to find... amongst coffee shops that do do one. Definitely a coffee place to go to in downtown. Read more
Best almond croissant and Spanish latte! Went for breakfast for the last couple of days! First day (Friday, July 30th) was great... but the second day, it was the weekend and older nice lady who worked was off I believe,was a disaster because the guy whoopened the cafe did not have a clue what he was doing! He was late for work and people were waiting???? Yesterday (Sunday August1st) he got my order wrong, I ordered my new favourite Spanish latte but he has given me a latte, not happy! Today (BC day) wasgreat because he was not there! Two young ladies who worked were awesome! Love this cafe but in order to keep their customers,they need to get rid of the clueless, bearded guy (with a gold chain with a square pendant). #spanishlatte #almondcroissant Read more
Good cafe food, tea was great but service was pretty poor. The place was aesthetically pleasing and nice jazz music maintained a... good feel but the bathroom was disgusting - it obviously hadn't been cleaned in a while. On arrival, two staff were quibblingwith a customer about an extra 5 cents that his coffee cost after some alterations. We were ignored during this, even thoughthere were two people there and clearly could have started our order. Once the customer in front of us had sat down, the staffcontinued to talk to each other for social purposes and we waited until they were done to place our order. Huge tray of samplesat the till wasn't pointed out to us or signed, so I asked if they were available for tasting. The location is amazing, shamethe staff were less than great. Read more
This location serves stale baked goods sitting for several days. Unfortunate because they have decent coffee. It's disappointing... when local brands cut corners, it woulf be better not to offer any food at all! Read more
