Catch 122 was located in the former Wildebeest location on East Hastings Street, I was pleased to finally had an opportunity to... try them out since they “took over” the space. I opted to go for brunch as I thought it would be easier to get a table andI also wanted to sample their pastries. Especially their cruffins and Cronuts. We were greeted promptly after we entered therestaurant and without a reservation we got seated pretty promptly at a table near the front window. Unfortunately our serverinformed us that they only do their Cronuts on the weekend but they have one espresso cruffin ($6) left. We snatched it rightaway. Along with our cruffin we also ordered the mango coconut croissant ($6.25). To my surprise, we enjoyed the croissant muchmore than the cruffin. While the cruffin was flakey and had a filling, it just didn’t compare to the complexity and flavour ofthe mango coconut filling of the croissant. It was tangy, pack of mango flavour with an undertone of coconut. For our mains weordered the Catch Burger with Truffle Fries ($22) as well as the Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich ($18). I know their chicken andwaffles was the more popular menu item but compared to the southern fried chicken, the latter had more spice and flavour onpaper. Even though both tables beside us had ordered the chicken waffles. After we had thoroughly enjoyed our pastries we werehaving high hopes for our mains, however, I regret to say that for whatever reason neither the beef burger patty nor the friedchicken were seasoned with any salt. It was very bland, and I’m not sure if the chef forgot to add salt to our mains or what, but the saltiest thing on the plate was the sliver of pickle that came with the burgers. I also noticed both tables beside uswere smarter and had requested for salt and pepper. Unfortunately because neither mains were seasoned properly, it really tookaway from the dining experience. The food was cooked and presented properly though, and the spices Read more

Booked a reservation here for my wife’s birthday with her family because she’s a vegetarian and loves brunch. We hadn’t... been here before. Overall the experience was good, but it wasn’t phenomenal. Service-wise, a few ordered drinks and itemswere missed and we had to keep reminding the server about water fill ups, cutlery, etc. It felt like we had to flag her down afew times for essentials. Food-wise, the menu seemed very intriguing at first glance. In execution, it was definitely good butwas a slight let down from our expectations after reading the menu. Ultimately it wasn’t a terrible experience. It was fair togood and I would ultimately rate our experience a 7 or 8 out of 10. I’m not sure if we would return anytime soon. Read more

A sweet little brunch place with unique dishes. They take reservations which is very good for brunch, and their dishes are quite... large portion wise. The KFC pancake was very saucy and I wish the pancake was thicker to absorb it all, although it's prettygood in terms of variety. The chorizo sandwich was more like a burger though, albeit very tasty. The lavender latte wasexcellent! Good service as well. Read more

I had the best brunch here! I ordered the Pulled pork eggs Benny and they were so well seasoned, perfectly cooked and the side... of potatoes was such a perfect complement! They melted in my mouth and didn’t need any extra dressing cause they were soflavourful alone. I also got their feature croissant and it blew my mind! Perfect buttery and flaky layers of pastry, filledwith a rich mascarpone and berry cream. I would go back to this place for that croissant alone because it was something out of adream for pastry and dessert lovers. The waitress and the rest of the staff were incredibly kind and attentive the whole time.Highly recommended, their great ratings are so well deserved! Read more
