Catch 122 was located in the former Wildebeest location on East Hastings Street, I was pleased to finally had an opportunity to... try them out since they “took over” the space. I opted to go for brunch as I thought it would be easier to get a table andI also wanted to sample their pastries. Especially their cruffins and Cronuts. We were greeted promptly after we entered therestaurant and without a reservation we got seated pretty promptly at a table near the front window. Unfortunately our serverinformed us that they only do their Cronuts on the weekend but they have one espresso cruffin ($6) left. We snatched it rightaway. Along with our cruffin we also ordered the mango coconut croissant ($6.25). To my surprise, we enjoyed the croissant muchmore than the cruffin. While the cruffin was flakey and had a filling, it just didn’t compare to the complexity and flavour ofthe mango coconut filling of the croissant. It was tangy, pack of mango flavour with an undertone of coconut. For our mains weordered the Catch Burger with Truffle Fries ($22) as well as the Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich ($18). I know their chicken andwaffles was the more popular menu item but compared to the southern fried chicken, the latter had more spice and flavour onpaper. Even though both tables beside us had ordered the chicken waffles. After we had thoroughly enjoyed our pastries we werehaving high hopes for our mains, however, I regret to say that for whatever reason neither the beef burger patty nor the friedchicken were seasoned with any salt. It was very bland, and I’m not sure if the chef forgot to add salt to our mains or what, but the saltiest thing on the plate was the sliver of pickle that came with the burgers. I also noticed both tables beside uswere smarter and had requested for salt and pepper. Unfortunately because neither mains were seasoned properly, it really tookaway from the dining experience. The food was cooked and presented properly though, and the spices Read more

Booked a reservation here for my wife’s birthday with her family because she’s a vegetarian and loves brunch. We hadn’t... been here before. Overall the experience was good, but it wasn’t phenomenal. Service-wise, a few ordered drinks and itemswere missed and we had to keep reminding the server about water fill ups, cutlery, etc. It felt like we had to flag her down afew times for essentials. Food-wise, the menu seemed very intriguing at first glance. In execution, it was definitely good butwas a slight let down from our expectations after reading the menu. Ultimately it wasn’t a terrible experience. It was fair togood and I would ultimately rate our experience a 7 or 8 out of 10. I’m not sure if we would return anytime soon. Read more

A sweet little brunch place with unique dishes. They take reservations which is very good for brunch, and their dishes are quite... large portion wise. The KFC pancake was very saucy and I wish the pancake was thicker to absorb it all, although it's prettygood in terms of variety. The chorizo sandwich was more like a burger though, albeit very tasty. The lavender latte wasexcellent! Good service as well. Read more

I had the best brunch here! I ordered the Pulled pork eggs Benny and they were so well seasoned, perfectly cooked and the side... of potatoes was such a perfect complement! They melted in my mouth and didn’t need any extra dressing cause they were soflavourful alone. I also got their feature croissant and it blew my mind! Perfect buttery and flaky layers of pastry, filledwith a rich mascarpone and berry cream. I would go back to this place for that croissant alone because it was something out of adream for pastry and dessert lovers. The waitress and the rest of the staff were incredibly kind and attentive the whole time.Highly recommended, their great ratings are so well deserved! Read more

We made reservations, and only allowed 75mins to have meal which was too short, to be honest. But I understand because there are... always long line up outside. Service was good, food looks pretty. But too noisy (just too busy, not their fault) Read more

Great experience. Food, atmosphere, decor and service — checks all the box. We had Churros for starter, Bulgogi steak n egg,... Salmon gravlax bagel, BELT sandwich and Tiramisu. Everything was perfectly done. Price might seem bit expensive but compared toother places in Vancouver, I think its fine. Overall, highly recommended. Read more

It was a bit difficult to find and the parking is not convenient as for some reason the city of Vancouver has limited all car... parking on the street. But, once we found this place we were delighted. It's got a real nice feel on the inside. It's cozy, butopen and has beautiful mood lighting with elegant lights all throughout the restaurant. Once you step in you can't help butnotice the window of freshly in-house baked goods and the bar right behind it. Loved the FengShui of the place. It's one ofthose restaurants that you just wanna spend time in, but I guess due to its popularity, on the weekend each table has a cap of1.5 hours. The dark coffee and Americano were great. Full body, smooth and piping hot. We tried the Mixed Berry croissant andthe Nutella croissant. They were both incredible! My favourite was the Mixed Berry. If you're there you have to try the MixedBerry! We ordered the Pulled Pork Benny, Avocado Toast and the Chorizo Breakfast Sandwich. They were all presented tastefully. The Avocado Toast and Chorizo were both on point with their ingredients, flavour profile and consistency. However, I didn't likethe Pulled Pork Benny, which was my dish. (Murphy's Law....right! the one dish not so good goes to the one writing the reviewLOL) Pulled Pork if done right is one of the tastiest dishes in my opinion. However, it's hard to make, because it has to keepits moisture at the same time the amount of sugar which can dry out meat has to be carefully navigated. My Pulled Pork was sosweet that I couldn't eat much of it. The amount of sugar was so much that I couldn't taste the pork and overpowered even theegg yolk and since I had the wonderful croissant just before my main, it was too much sugar for me. Instead of the Pulled Porkbeing slightly sweet and savoury it was sweet, sweet, sweet. I'm afraid I didn't much enjoy the potatoes either just becausethey were slightly burned and oily, so again you just tasted the oil. The salad was lightly dressed and Read more
