This place has incredibly poor service. We came in and got a table, there were 3 people still in line waiting to order so after... seeing the washroom barricaded off, I politely asked for the key. The barista said I had to order first and asked me to get inline curtly. I motioned to my partner sitting next to the counter and told her we were waiting to order, if I could go to thewashroom in the meantime. She then flat-out fabricated that they had a washroom code she couldn't give me unless they punch inan order. I wait and the next customer ordered asked to use the washroom and was then given a key. I asked her why it was now akey instead of the code and she just shrugged that it was their rule. I understand the staff may not make up policy though youstill have a choice to always treat people as humans and apply them reasonably, either the staff are just given leeway to berude and/or have the kind of employer/owner that is so awful that their employees cant treat customers decently either.Unfortunately, too many small businesses open in a mixed income neighborhood and seek to have policies to make displacedneighbours actively unwelcome. I have never seen it so militantly applied to the extent staff lie to your face though and thecoffee isn't good, poorly roasted. Read more
Cortado prepared well and artisan pecan cookie was good. The barista bar area is clean and contemporary. The seated area has a... lot of dirt on the sills, flaking plaster and run down furniture. Definitely not "rustic", just run down. Read more
I got their Croissant sandwich, but as you can see, it was burnt and didn?t worth it at all! Such a disappointment!!
I am hard worker guy. And I work with instacart grocery delivery. And as much these people work hard and deserve tip i do as... well. They ordered heavy order this morning from Cotco with zero tip they didn?t even give one penny. If I ever go to this placeI would never tip them and wouldn?t suggest people do. Read more

We would of given a 5 star review but we were freezing ????. This big windows just let all the best out. Great coffee and oh so... PLEASANT staff. Seasons greetings for sure. We could even add our own sugar. Which is such a nice change because every place wewent to was full. All 3 places near here. I had a brainstorm to come here and people watch!! A couple years ago I was there and they kicked a young guy out because last time he was there he made a mess pouring himself... water. The guy wasn?t doing anything wrong and I know the guy from the neighbourhood. Stopped going there for a few yearsbecause of how much it rubbed me the wrong way. Started going again on pretty regular basis. Today I told them I was waiting formy girlfriend to order. After a couple minutes needed to use the bathroom they said I had to order first to use it. It?s likeyou don?t recognize me I come in all the time and my stuff is at a table to stay. Don?t go to places that don?t have humandecency. Most places would let me use the washroom even if I said hey I?m not ordering I just need to use the washroom. Read more
