Great cafe, located by the water. Good sandwiches and baked goods. Lots of seating inside and on the patio, however, it does get... quite busy. Read more

Lovely, make that beatiful, Café. Thorough Italian theme including the beverage names, pastries and panini. The staff is... helpful and more than happy to explain translate into North American coffee lingo. Baristas are really good, and the customizedBlack Eagle gorgeously ties in with its marble counter. Foam was steamed perfectly for each drink - a real (!) Cappuccino withfoam too thick for art as it should be. No wimpy foam here. Lots of good seating. Musical vibe is kinda fun. Read more

Good food and located in a nice part of downtown, inside the Fairmont hotel. I?ve been here a Fairmont of times, but this is the... first review I?ve left. We sat outdoors on a sunny day. Presumably due to high-demand, they were low on sandwich selection lwhen we went, but such is life. I soothed the disappointment with a slice of their pistachio pie, instead. It?s slightly pricey, but not unreasonable. A walk by the water nearby is recommended, too. Read more

Giovane is our ?go to? in this area. We?re here at least 3/4 times a week given they open quite late relative to other coffee... shops downtown (huge plus). It?s located in the beautiful Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel so the overall atmosphere is modern andhigh end. You do feel transported somewhere else (I wouldn?t say Italy necessarily haha but definitely not in Vancouver). Ourcoffees are usually always great and I love they add a crispy amaretti as a little accompaniment. The cakes / dessertsselection could be improved with some fresh options (I know they are not part of the hotel, but perhaps a partnership with theirPastry Chef may be beneficial). I also found the prices to be a bit high for how small they are (a pretty tiny slice of AmalfiCake costs over $5)? and this is coming from someone who loves overpaying for dessert! ???? We also regularly try their savouryoptions (they usually only have paninis left in the evenings) and they have all been tasty and flavourful (even when slightlycrispy). For transparency?s sake, these too will set you back over $15 (and the portions are again on the smallerside). Service is generally consistent and all in, it?s a strong option downtown that we love coming back to. ???????? Read more

Oh how I love their sugar buns! Great coffee and nice selections of pastries and sweets. Nice layout and beautiful decors. They... do get busy but overall, a nice place to meet with friends. Read more

Very disappointing. A warning to anyone looking at the photos uploaded on google maps and looking forward to fresh, unique... pastries--they're no longer available. The selection is now tiny. This previously large space was split, with the majority of itturned into Giovane Bacaro, a tapas place next door. Their beloved sugar buns are gone, as are the beautiful cakes and otheramazing pastries. We had 2 pastries (because we didn't want to waste the trip here) and neither of them tasted fresh. I've hadbetter brownies and cakes from grocery stores. The hot chocolate I had was only moderately warm. May as well get rid of thecafe fully if the owners only care about the $$$ tapas part. What's left of the cafe, while not awful, is disappointinglymediocre and not worth a visit. Read more

An Italian cafe located on West Cordova, downtown Vancouver. Giovane caffè is a modern, European-style coffee shop, bakery, &... Italian eatery at Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel. The decoration inside and outside are nice and distinguished with yellow elementslike a yellow Vespa ???? and big G logo at front. I?ve been to this cafe three times since 2018. To me it looks like degradingduring the time. The staff are not as friendly as they were before. ?? The coffee is of high quality and you?ll like it. Thetaste is always smooth and enjoyable to drink. ???? Sandwiches are not of quality of other coffee shops in Vancouver, althoughthe they have many options available to choose from. The atmosphere of the coffee shop is always good and you can enjoy sometime there, whether in summer or winter. I recommend the coffee and don?t miss its atmosphere.???? Read more
