My friend and I really enjoyed our lunch at Gram Cafe on Kingsway. It was both our first time there. We were both pleasantly... surprised by the food. We each ordered the Sando combo which I thought was a very great price as it came with a sandwich,salad,soup and a coffee. The pancake sando filling was very flavourful. The pancake itself was fluffy and moist. I really lovedthe clam chowder that came with my combo. It was a decent meal for under $15. I would go back to try the rest of their menu. Read more
The soufflé pancakes are D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S! Omg! I couldn?t believe how soft they are. If this is your first visit, ordering... these are a MUST. I also love the idea of drink order stickers on the mugs, just like Starbucks. That little extra effort alonemakes me want to come back. I visited their Kingsway location and absolutely love this spot - it?s really spacious and well-lit with a lovely wall of green... + the atmosphere is calm making it a nice spot to study ???????? Good flavor on their Premium souffle pancakes. Also tried the fruit with chocolate. The best option we tried is the ... caramelized banana pancake option. Location is nice - clean and bright. Service was a bit slow, even allowing for the 1/2 hourcook time on the pancakes. Read more
We ordered the pancakes that were displayed on the sandwich board. The cook went out to take a picture of it... guessing they... didnt know what they were making. Pancakes were cold, and undercooked. Presentation was sub par, and I'm not sure why there wasa sunny side up egg inside the pancake. Oh well... Anyways, for 22$ you can get much much better anywhere else. Fruits were goodI suppose. I was really excited to try this place but was so disappointed in the service. I understand that they were very overwhelmed. But... for what it was, it wasn?t worth the price or the 1 HR wait. Yup? you read that right 1 HOUR for pancakes, eggs, bacon andsalad. The cashier did warn us that it would take 20-30mins for us to get our food. But seeing the girl behind the counterpainstakingly cut up fruit to be plated pretty, I really think they could use some tips in creating a better prepstation. Seriously, Gram cafe this is a lack of preparing your ingredients ahead of time. Pre-cut your fruit. Your saladobviously comes from a box. Teach your crew to cook eggs without the tray. My eggs were oddly cooked medium on the bottom butwith a runny yolk on top. My partner, who got the same dish was missing his syrup?load your cute little containers of syrupbefore hand. He got his food before me and I hate to wait another 15mins for mine to arrive. The table next to us was sofrustrated they complained (they came in after us) and got a free stuffed pancake, and ended up leaving and got a refund. Thiswas not a cheap meal. Was really frustrated with this experience. But seriously you?re getting similar reviews, fix these smallefficiency issues and it would be much more successful. Read more
I like the fluffy cake with cream. It is not sweet. Great for snack if you are looking for something light. Price is also... reasonable. There is no wait as I went early in the morning. Read more
First time trying Gram Cafe was in Osaka in 2018. So when they opened in Vancouver, I couldn?t wait to try it. The menu is... almost the same. We had the London Fog Tea Party Pancake and the Caramelized Banana Pancake. Both were very fluffy anddeliciously good the aroma of earl grey infused whip cream is out of this world. This Kingsway located wasn?t too busy, andthat?s too bad. These are some of the best soufflé pancakes in town. Read more
