Happy Day Cafe on Kingsway is an easy 5-star rating. Yesterday, our family had one of the tastiest experiences there. We ordered... 5 dishes: salted fish and chicken fried rice, beef chow fun, duck and parsley braised vermicelli, and sweet and sour pork. Eachof the dishes came with our choice of soup or drink so we opted for a couple of hot almond milks, a hot milk tea, and a coldlemon water. Everything was tasty and they had great ?wok hay? especially the fried rice! The portions were decent and we evenhad leftovers to take home???? It?s a busy place and service is prompt. We definitely recommend! Read more

I really enjoyed Happy Day when I came in for Sunday breakfast. It got busy fast, so get here around 10AM to avoid line ups.... This place can definitely handle larger groups of about 6 people. The portions are huge so it's best to order dishes to share. My last recommendation is to look at the menu beforehand because they offer a lot of options and it could be quite overwhelmingif you're looking at it right when you sit down. Overall, this is a great place if you're looking for inexpensive Chinese food. Read more

Tried new spot for dinner. Happy Day Cafe, close to 7-11. Hong Kong style eats. Big portions and good price. Place was clean and... staff friendly. We ordered sweet n sour pork, hainanese chicken, beef and bitter lemon and chow mean and beef noodles.Everything was great! Chow Mein was crispy exact way I like it. Had left overs because the portion was big. Would have takenbetter pictures too but was forgetful after taking a bit of the beef with the butter melon. I'm not a fan of bitter melon butthe beef was excellent. Definitely a place to try! Read more

Ordered the lobster dinner combo for take out. It was yummy. The salt and peppery squid was so tender and fresh. The halibut was... liked by the parents so that was a very good sign. I would definitely order it again. The only issue Is the online website. Itdoesn?t allow you to choose a pick up time. Quite frustrating. They should really update the system! The next day we orderedtheir online breakfast combo. Egg, sausage, half a French toast, and Satay beef noodles. The dinner the night before wastastier. Read more

This food tasted fantastic! Portions were good for the prices and service was quick despite being fairly busy. Tv's had the... news and sports so there was appeal for anyone, and the tea was tasty. I ordered soup and deep fried squid and they were veryfilling in a good way, I ate a lot before I was actually full and everything was cooked and seasoned the right amount Read more

We went here at tea time. No people were waiting outside, and we could have a table arranged once we arrived. The taste of the... food was just so-so, but the portion was massive (For dine-in only, I tried take-out next time, and the size was much less thanthat for dine-in). Also, the milk tea here was excellent and tasted like those in Hong Kong. But the price was a little hightoo. Read more

A very busy and typical HK-style cafe. Been here in the past and they do have some good dishes (as well as some that... aren't). Dropped by for breakfast one day and it was hopping with all the tables full up. They offer a variety of dishesincluding the unbelievably good ponytails bun BLT. Amazingly crispy bacon and a good overall BLT (although a bit heavy-handedwith the mayo). Congee was ok. But the steamed beef rice roll was a bit too basic for my liking. Read more

Classic HK cafe with authentic customer service. They forgot my order and so I asked that if the kitchen had not started making... mine, can I just cancel it as most party members were done eating already. They said they cannot cancel it since I already gotthe drink that came along with the meal. I felt like they could've been more flexible as the drink seem so minor and noweveryone has to wait for my dish to come. I ordered Fish fillet with Eggplant with rice, and unfortunately, it was adisappointment. The fish fillet did not taste fresh and there were only few eggplants in the dish. Sad to say that I would haveactually given them a higher rating if I had not tasted this dish. Sizzling Steaks Combo (beef, chicken, sausage, fish fillet)- good value for the amount of food, also came with soup and toast. Great choice for those who loves meat and protein. Braisedpork belly: very tasty and melts in your mouth. However, this may be a seasonal dish as it was separate from the menu. Waitedover 20 min for this dish but that was shown on the poster. I would say most of their dishes meet HK cafe standards, just a fewdishes that are off. Stick with the popular ones and mainstream ones, and you'd probably be safe. Read more
