Ordered Chicken Roast Polao for takeout. Wait was very long yet food turned out cold, looking unappetizing with dry and clumpy... rice. Not sure why preparation took so long when food is clearly not fresh. Maybe I went on a bad night as other reviews seem tobe quite positive. Read more

This evening I tried the Roast pulao and hands down it?s the best I?ve had in years. Tasted like puran dhaka roast. Gravy is... rich and extremely flavourful. Also the portion is just perfect! I am very satisfied with the taste and service. I will becoming back again and again. I highly recommend the food here. Read more

Food is delicious, consistent taste and quality yet it's one of the underrated Bengali/Bangladeshi restaurants in the city. I... really like their Holy Kachi with Lamb and Chicken Roast Pulao. The strong kitchen odor is something makes me order online ortakeout but its a problem with most of the SouthEast Asian restaurant's problem. Attached is a picture of kachi with lamb fromthis restaurant. Read more

We drove from Seattle and were delighted to find this authentic Bangladeshi restaurant in Vancouver. We tried their beef tehari,... chicken biryani, and their vhorta platter. Everything tasted perfect. The experience of eating their food was akin to eating acomfortable, wholesome, homemade meal. It was satisfying. All the items we tasted belonged in their correct flavor profile inboth taste and how they were prepared. I highly recommend people to try this place. It's extremely rare to find Bangladeshirestaurants in the West Coast. If you're a foodie, you would definitely want to check this place out. Read more

Only Bangladeshi halal restaurant in whole Vancouver ( I couldn't find any except this one). Their dine-in is open till 11:00pm,... but the last time to place an order is 10:30. They are open till 2:00am for delivery. Their fuchka and chotpoti was quite good.We were really excited about the duck bhuna khichuri and the duck bhuna, but unfortunately their duck is only available onWednesdays. We ended up ordering beef tehari, and lamb and beef khichuri. The amount of meat was more than enough for oneperson. Moreover, they may add some beef with bone instead of just using boneless one. I can assure that you can get the realflavour of Bangladeshi spices here. We also ordered lassi and sweets. Roshogolla was decent, but Kalo Jam wasn't no way near toit's original version. After a long long time we had the opportunity to enjoy Bangladeshi food. We had visited so many Asianrestaurants in the last 4 years, but the holy smoke is one of fewest one that had offered us to enjoy the real flavour ofBangladeshi spices. But the place is little bit warm inside. I don't know whether this is a regular issue or just for today(temperature was around 30 degree Celsius I guess) ???? Read more

Heard about a new local Bangladeshi restaurant, and wanted to support the business. Ordered Lamb (Holy Khichuri Bhuna), Beef... (Holy Tahari) and Holy Malai Chaa for delivery (via uber eats). IMHO, this is one of the best Khichuri Bhuna and Tahari we havetasted in a long time. They used pulao rice to cook both, and the quality of meat and tenderness were very good. The quantitywas more than enough for us, and the price was reasonable. The food was adequately warm after delivery. Would definitelyrecommend it to others, and would order again. Update in mid-April 2021: Their kachchi is a new addition, which I like verymuch. Ordered during ramadan for iftari platter via Uber eats (ordered as lamb khichuri as iftari is not on the menu, but in theinstruction asked them to provide iftari instead). They were very accommodating and sent us the iftari with mango sharbat (seepicture). Thanks!! Read more

Warm aroma of exotic spices swept through me as I entered this restaurant, the only thing on my mind was "I hope the food tastes... as good as it smells in here". The aroma reminded me of my Mom's home cooked meals. It's been a while since I've had her foodso I was very eager to take this take-out order home and dive right in. After I got home, I took a few bites and Holy Smoke, the food was nothing short of amazing. I have to admit, I am biased towards Bangladeshi cooking, but it really wasamazing. This restaurant, the only Bangladeshi restaurant in Vancouver, which I discovered totally by accident while going toBest Falafel next door, will not disappoint your taste buds. I like how they asked me where I'm from, as to gauge my spicinesslevel and what I really meant by "extremely spicy". We got the fuchka, beef teehari, chicken khichuri, jhaal Moori and beefcurry. They were all great, but my favourites were the jhaal Moori (w/ chicken), fuchka and beef teehari (set spicy level). Onething to note, I was really looking forward to the bhorta platter but it is only available for dine-in on Wednesdays. Go checkout this place and see for yourself what Bangladeshi cuisine tastes like! Read more

Holy smoke! ???? tastes really good! Well done. Have always searched for real Bangladeshi flavor in restaurants, and now it's... possible. I never could bring my non-Bangladeshi colleagues in a restaurant to taste our distinct spice proportions, but notanymore! Now I can bring them and convince them hopefully ???? ... Hoping you can keep the consistency and also advertise to thenon-Bangladeshi audience, then we hope we can get high demand for more Bangladeshi restaurants in Vancouver ???? Read more
