It was Sunday night, and not busy, perfect, sat in the bar. Bartender was very accommodating, good service! Ordered old... fashioned to start, then had wings. Wings are good, flavourful, only thing was it was a tiny wing, but good, my old fashionedwas perfect. And ordered house red wine after. It was a good experience at this cantina. Will be back! Great craft beer selection. Local choices and quality choices as well. Well done in that. I did not eat but had a good time... experiencing some new beers and chatting with the staff. I would give a 5 for my experience but I did not eat off the menu. Will revise after I have their food. Read more
Randomly chose this restaurant to eat at since it was close to our hotel. Service was exceptional from the host to our server. ... Tried the Bomber Limoncito and Red Roof Cider based on recommendations from our server. Both were refreshing and she got ourtaste buds on point! The tacos and tostados were savory and the flavors of the ingredients worked well together. We weren?thuge fans of the Peruvian Ceviche. The sauce was okay and the raw fish wasn?t soft. It was on the chewier side and didn?t havetoo much flavor despite having the sauce. Great location to watch the sunset on English Bay from inside the restaurant or justa quick walk outside! Read more
I had the privilege of trying some of the new dishes to be added to the menu in July by Executive Chef Arif Khalid. From a very... delicate Red Snapper Cerziche (paired with pinot gris) to a great burger or the steak (w merlot), everything was delicious!!Hook is a casual dining experience facing west overlooking English Bay. A wonderful view at sunset. Lots of craft beer. Theceiling could use some sound dampening material as the noise level is a bit 'bright'. Read more
Nice to hang out at English Bay. Came here for happy hour on a bright sunny day and it was very good. Tried a margarita, beer,... prawns and home made chips with salsa and guacamole. Everything was good and would come back again. It was very busy so theremight be a wait on those nice sunny days. Read more
We really liked this place...nice view, awesome staff and great drinks. We came back a second time also. We tries the lobster... roll and the tuna salad. The lobster was really good and enough to eat. The salad was amazing!!! The drinks were really wellprepared...we were seated next to the bar. We tried 2 very different cocktails and were awesome. Super chill place! staff were extremely helpful and kind, food was well worth the price especially with view of the beach and... drinks were 10/10! Margaritas and their calamari were especially incredible, i would definitely come back here and recommendchecking it out!
