As a student who also works online, this location provided the perfect atmosphere for powering through my work. Great coffee,... even better muffins, and friendly service. I never have to wait long to find a table to work at which is very nice.Additionally, this location has a very large patio that is perfect for a spring/summer coffee chat. Great little café with decent prêt-à-manger muffins and bagels. Don't be fooled by the name.. the coffee quality and taste is... not more than your average (overtly) dark roast espresso. I guess as a chain they don't try to disrupt and think outside of thebox all that much ???? sweet and plentiful patio. Read more
One of the best JJ Bean location (the other being Commercial Drive). Staff is outstanding, welcoming and coffees are on point.... The muffins are underrated. I love the atmosphere of this location so friendly and cozy. The staff is so kind and warm. The best thing ever is the almond... croissant if you be lucky enough to arrive in time. I gave four stars because most of the time they ran out of them. It's beenfor a long time though they don't help to increase the amount of them. their almond croissant is awfully delicious. Read more
This place has plenty?s of seating options with great taste of coffees (cappuccino is my favourite) but I can?t say same for... snacks and toast (pricey and not worth), I ordered chicken sandwich and small oat milk cappuccino (as photo), the sandwichtoasted time was long enough that cappuccino became cold when both are served ( cappuccino could make a bit later), the taste ofsandwich wasn?t good, $17 bill before tip! BEST vegan chocolate banana bread!!! Wish I would?ve bought them all! So so good! Great little cafe, was able to connect to the... wifi quickly and get some work done while enjoying my tea and delicious banana bread! Highly recommend coming here I will forsure be back for another slice! Read more
To be honest, there coffees are good, but they have opted for tip-based model and kept on with it in this inflation time. I... don't know if their employees are not paid good hourly wage or somehow JJ bean has suddenly gone bankrupt, but paying tip forgrabbing your own coffee at the counter doesn't make sense. I get there is no tip option in there, but it's difficult to tap onit with an employee staring at you. This is not a small mom and pop shop that needs help from their costumers to feed theiremployees...without any table-waiting service. Read more
