Okay here's the thing, I've heard about this place and their perfect sea food a lot , And I had a nice experience here. The... oysters and truffles Parmesan fries were delicious. We also tried bone-in rib steak which was one of the best ones I've everhad. Grilled spring salmon was a little bit disappointing to me since it did taste like nothing! Even the salt was not enough.The interior design and ambience is nice. This restaurant is super vast with many spaces in all the corners. We tried the patioand it was an enjoyable experience. Great dining experience with friendly staff and great seafood! The happy hour menu is very worth it and would recommend the... seafood platter. Only thing the party didn't like was the shrimp, which were slightly rubbery. The tacos were nicely spiced andthe lobster rolls were buttery and decadent. Get the cheesecake for dessert! It's fluffier than a regular New York StyleCheesecake and has a hint of lemon with homemade shipped cream. I could have eaten three slices myself because it was so light. Read more

Joe Fortes had to be the best stop we had for any of our meals during our trip to BC! We went for lunch and ordered their... calamari, lobster roll, Sable fish and a series of oysters. While everything we ordered was delicious, the Sable fish wasprobably the best prepared fish we've ever had. Top off the amazing food with stellar service from our server Norm and it wasan exemplary experience from start to finish. Couple months later we also received a handwritten letter from Norm/therestaurant and it was so far above and beyond what we would expect that Joe Fortes will definitely be a spot we go to every timewe're in Vancouver. Nice foods and kind staffs. I was there in happy hour time around 4 pm. At that time, it was so busy. We ordered few things.... Fried calamari, lobster roll, taco and 12 oysters. It was first time at Joe Fortes, and It was a wonderful experience. It was a large group of us and we thoroughly enjoyed the... atmosphere, the food was outstanding. So much flavors, we ordered oysters which were fresh as ever. The food selection is quitenice, a little pricey but worth it for special occasions etc. The live piano playing was a nice touch, set the ambience justright. Well this was a great experience. We were here for happy hour and tried several dishes. The sea food platter was very good and... had a great selection. We also had fried crab and corn and the tempura prawns. Both were good but the tempura prawns were alittle greasy. Finally we had the New England Clam chowder. Personally, I don't think clam chowder needs bacon but thisworked. The atmosphere was great, this is no place for a quiet dinner but a great place for after work or to go with goodfriends. Excellent oysters! Super fresh, big and tasty, the crab cake was delicious. The service is really friendly and attentive. Prices... above from the average. I loved the piano music live on site. I need to visit the rooftop ambience during summer season as itseems to be very popular. I would suggest this restaurant for special occasions. Read more
