I only tried one smoothie from here- the coffee crisp smoothie. I used to love coffee crisp as a kid and I've never had a... smoothie before that I didn't enjoy, but it just didn't suit my taste I guess and I wasn't a fan of it at all. It didn't quitetaste like coffee crisp to me... Unless it wasn't made properly that time? I can see that some people like this smoothie fromother reviews, but it just has a very specific taste that I happened not to like. Ordered takeout of their Golden Laksa Noodles. The coconut turmeric broth was tasty and fragrant, I just wish there was more... broth included to soak the vegetables and zucchini noodles (which end up being eaten kind of raw). The portion size of the ricenoodles was decent. I felt like the sunflower cracker croutons were just there for added crunch, they didn't add much to thedish in flavor. They have a nice selection of plant-based dishes and smoothies, so hope to try something else next time around! Read more
The food was really tasty. I was initially a little worried about how much nooch was sprinkled on the salad, but it was well... balanced and delicious. The Coffee Crisp Smoothie was a delightful treat. This place is really more set up for take out, but Iate in at one of the stools at the large communal table. I really wanted to love Kokomo, but unfortunately my experience fell short. I decided to finally try out some dishes as Kokomo... had an Uber Eats BOGO deal. The Almond Noodle salad I received was missing the tofu and instead they gave me a lot of noodles. Ikept lifting the noodles hoping some tofu was hidden inside but that was not the case. Definitely would not pay the full priceof $17 for a bunch of noodles and zero tofu.... The Golden Laksa was decent, but I?ve had better versions of this same dish fromother vegan/ vegetarian places that offer protein as well as a generous amount of vegetables for the same price. This gem is around the corner from my office. Such a fun addition to the Chinatown vibe. The salads are delicious. I also... love the Kokomo bowl. Fun little eatery with a positive feel. Nice staff and cool design. Eat in or take out...either way itis always fresh!! Read more
I never leave reviews, but I have been temp working down the street from Kokomo for a week and after trying it on a whim, I have... gone back there everyday for lunch! I have tried every bowl on their menu and have been delighted with the tastiness/amount ofevery one. Now with the cold weather, I suggest asking for a cup of their laksa broth? it?s so delicious ??
