I can confidently say this is THE BEST Italian food I have had in Vancouver so far! You start with the ambiance of being in a... small house in downtown, which gives it uniqueness but most important of all is the food. Get the Taglierini is all I can say.It was so deliciously flavored that I was debating ordering another one. I also got the spaghettini Pesto pasta and was afraidit would be bland because of other restaurant experiences but it was also very flavored and tasty. Caesars Salad was great too Idefinitely recommend. We also ordered a bread basket for appetizers which in other places we’ve gotten for free, this one wasnot so worth it. The veal was a special and was 10/10. And the ricota gnocchi bolognese was also great. We got the house redwine which was good. I reserved for a friend’s birthday and made sure to state that in the reservation but it was the same asnot mentioning it.. Overall Great experience and great service and definitely on the pricier side Read more

A wonderful fine dining experience in a funky historic home. The home was renovated some years ago into dining areas while... leaving the charming character of the original home intact. The food was delicious, and the service was great. Will be afavourite downtown restaurant for us now. Perfect for a romantic dinner. Read more

First visit to this restaurant this past weekend and I was extremely pleased with the overall experience. The restaurant itself... feels very tucked away on a relatively quiet part of Hamilton street. Located inside a renovated heritage house, the overallambience is quite charming and cozy. While the tables are quite close together, it was still a fairly peaceful, intimateexperience. That said, if you do have some loud neighbours, you might take notice, although I'm sure the staff would becomfortable asking people to keep the volume down. On the subject of staff, I found the service to be friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and speedy. I don't think I had to wait more than 10 minutes before my first course arrived, and the drinks were evenfaster than that. For anyone who is a fan of whisky-based cocktails, their black bourbon manhattan is worth a try. The foodhere was excellent. Pasta is most certainly the specialty here, and my partner and I were huge fans of the short-rib ravioli andgrilled chicken fettucine dishes. Everything was perfectly cooked and the flavours were just outstanding. We were also big fansof the wagyu carpaccio that we got as a starter, and our 'secondi' dish - halibut and prawns served with a lobster reduction -was also very tasty, although, when I go back, I would probably just go with a third pasta dish. For drinks, the one appetizer, the two pastas, and the main, the bill came out to a little over $200 for two people. Not super cheap, but also not crazy, particularly if you're in the market for a nicer dining experience. You will want to make a reservation. One thing to note -finding parking around here is NOT easy, as you're right by BC Place stadium and numerous other popular venues. There isunderground parking just up the road, and technically there is a lot across from the restaurant, although it's shared with ahotel and was full when I went last Saturday, so be sure to leave yourself some time. We come here once or twice a year, every time we come to Vancouver since we found it about 15 years ago. Always fantastic food... and service. Our favourite dish is the fettuccine with shaved black truffles. A very simple olive oil sauce let’s the pastaand black truffles speak. And they are not cheap on the truffles. They have a fantastic wine list. Our waitress Cristina whowe’ve had quite a few times was wonderful as always. She is very personable yet very efficient. Read more

First of all, the food and service was great. Foie gras sauce was a little bit sweet and paired with jam, which nicely made the... liver taste not as strong. The pasta vongole had fresh clams and parsley, super flavorful. We have also had a delicious vealspecial with a mini quiche ($62 I think?) and a lamb shank with risotto. Salad, however, was rather small and simple for $19,and I think the focaccia was a better deal and tastier. Seeing them both on the table made me wish I had not ordered thesalad. Crème brûlée was one of the best I have ever had, which was so creamy almost like caramel. I liked the warm almondcake with gelato as well but not as much. Besides food, I liked the overall ambiance which felt like a welcoming and warm housewith style. And it was not super dark so you could take photos for food. Also liked they provided hand towels instead ofonetime use paper towel in the bathroom. Read more
