Truly authentic tasting food. I’m sure the chef is from the Maghreb. The servers are very pleasant and attentive. Decor and... music take you to a place far away from Vancouver! It’s very hard for restaurant owners to maintain a high level of serviceand quality these days but this team is making it happen. Keep up the great work! Read more

Really cool spot. The food was soooo flavourful. So much to try, not enough space! The ambiance was really cool with lots of... upholstery. That said, I think the upholstery contributed to the overall warmth and stuffiness of the space. The air circulationwasn’t that great, especially on a hot and humid summer day. Some other cons: the washrooms are in a hallway outside of therestaurant. Not sure who is responsible for maintaining them, but they weren’t in good working order. The toilet didn’tflush, there was no paper towel, and it was just generally dirty. Many of the staff were super friendly and accommodating. Onetreated us like we were dumb, tolerating the group and just barely meeting basic service levels. Other than that, it’s goodhere. I’m looking forward to trying it on a cold winter’s night. Never been to Moroccan restaurant before. The manager was very helpful, he explained their menu and cocktails. Had an eggplant... appetizer and lamb for main dish. Both were very tasty. Will definitely go back. Read more

We visited Moltaqa because we had never tried Moroccan food before and the meat here is all halal. Overall, we had a pretty... positive experience with very friendly staff and some good food. The menu has a lot of options and we ended up ordering theCouscous with 3 Lamb Merguez and the Cardamom Duck with Figs, Pear, and Sesame Tagine. The lamb dish was decent but filled withway too much couscous which ended up going to waste since we couldn’t finish all of it. However, the duck was the dish that Ireally enjoyed. The combination of flavours were great and I was really glad I ordered it. If we came back, we would only orderone main course dish plus one or two starters since those look really good. The restaurant itself is also clean and has a niceatmosphere. Read more

Blown away by how amazing the service, food, and atmosphere was! Our servers Anna and the young Japanese man (name started with... a Y) were both phenomenal. They made sure we had everything we needed and were so friendly. They moved us to nicer table withoutus even asking and even gave us two desserts on the house. They made my birthday night truly special. 10/10 experience, highlyrecommend! Will definitely be back for more. Read more

The food was delicious but the service left something to be desired. Back of the house knows what they’re doing. For the... prices they were charging and the location they are located in, I expected a higher end experience from the front of house. Ourwaiter seemed… interesting. His choice of words to check in with us were things like “are you happy?” Weird way to ask meif I’m enjoying the food or if there’s anything wrong. How do I say no to that? He initially asked us if we wanted drinksand then disappeared for a decent amount of time in which we decided our order and kept craning our necks to catch someone’sattention because no one was attending to us. It was awkward because the other servers would not help us, and the serverassistant (?) assured us he would find our server for us but when he came out to help another table he walked straight past us.When we had our entrees delivered to us, multiple random staff members who were not our server kept dropping off extra platesand stuff and it was kind of confusing. Just a bit unorganized. Just seemed like the service was still figuring itself out andthat there were quite a few unsure members of staff who were a bit bumbling. If I’m paying for $30 for an entree however Iwish it was a bit better. But don’t get me wrong, the food was delicious. Does not mean I can’t ignore the rest of theexperience. Read more

One of my favourite Moroccan restaurants I've been to in Canada. The food is delicious. The menu includes a lot of dishes to... try from tajines to harira and more. I also met the owners and they were really nice. I enjoyed my dining experience. I'drecommend making reservations as it can get quite busy. I don't like the location of the restaurant at all, however once insideI don't really pay attention to that (unless something is going on outside - on the day we visited, it was a little distractingsince police cars were coming to that street/area for something).
