Very average Chinese cafe/diner. Food quality is average to below average, depending on the item. Service is average at best,... kind of slow for this this type of restaurant. Dining room decor is old and very basic. Not that clean, or appealing. Sort oflike a truck-stop diner. Surprisingly, in comparison, the washrooms are pretty clean and well-maintained. I remember ordering from this restaurant a while back, and it was a bit of a hit or miss. One thing that is always a delicious... hit is the Curry Beef Brisket with Rice. No fillers of extra veggies or onions, etc. It's just tender chunks of beef, perfectlycooked potatoes and flavourful coconut curry sauce. Yum! Best Hainan chicken in town. The tell is the elusive layer of gel under the skin, a sign that the chicken was prepared properly,... poached gingerly. Makes a huge difference in the texture. Otherwise, you're just eating cantankerously boiled, dry, andflavourless chicken. Always order the dark meat and the oily rice. 10/10. Curry beef also epic, tender and 9/10. This place has been around for many years now. Although the food wasn?t as hot as I would like it, the customer service was very... good. I watched a man walk in from the cold to place an order and they gave him a table to sit and wait at and provided him withhot tea to warm up from the cold. Very considerate employees. It was good to see that they were busy with take out. Our currybeef on rice was so tender and tasty. It was so nice to see kindness. I can?t wait to come back again. Read more
