I honestly don?t understand how people can give this place any higher than 3 stars. I always give places the benefit of the... doubt but I really can?t with this one. I also hate wasting food but this is the first restaurant I?ve been to in Vancouver(and I?ve lived here for 10 years) that I?ve been worried enough about food poisoning to stop eating. In a city with such a bounty of great sushi joints it can be hard to distinguish a truly great spot - but Nikkyu sushi really... stands out for me. The owner Louis is an incredibly kind and personable guy, and the service was great. We ordered a varietyof dishes and everything was delicious, good quality and in large proportions. And, very uniquely, this was a great place todrink as well as eat, with a great selection of beers and sakes at very reasonable prices. The tea and sake is kept hot and thebeer cold. Went to this resto coz it was conveniently located to our appointment. The place needs an overhaul, pictures will show. We... wanted to transfer to a different resto but it is too cold to walk out in the snow. We ordered soup, it was ok, we liked that iswas served steaming hot. The noodles was ok. They gave us a thermos of tea and the cover looks dirty. All the utensils aredisposable. Read more
