I have been a customer of Paramount since its first location opened in Mississauga. I was excited to try the spot in Vancouver... since I am visiting and preferred it over many other options through Google search. Honestly, I was disappointed of theatmosphere. It was dark. No music. The furniture is old. We ordered few items and they forgot the main dish so it was canceledafter 15 minutes. One issue, lack of staff. The existing staff worked extremely hard to keep up with the demand of Dine-in,online pickup, deliveries but they were behind which caused issues with customers who left angry or didn't even stay or canceledorders. We ordered plat of Falafel. We received 4 pieces of thin pickles. We asked for more. We received 4 more thin pieces???????? At least we received freshly baked pita. It was lovely ???? I really wish the owner to pay attention to staffing,atmosphere and removing stuff in the way to bathroom. It feels as if you walking to a storage room. Good luck and will stilllove Paramount ???? We had a really great experience there. We had kofta wrap, chicken shawarma plate, za?atar, cheese, and kunafeh. To be honest I... just wanted to try the kunafeh. But the food was great, the portion of the plates was decent. Za?atar and cheese were lovely.And kunafeh wow, I really enjoyed it. We were served by Rosa, who was super friendly. Definitely coming back???? Update: Thisrestaurant was one of my favourites. I used to come here every now and then, but the thing is, in my last visit, everythingexcept for the taste of kofta wrap (which was still tasty) was changed. We always wanted to come here since they open :) but always people are line up so we couldn?t try them and finally! We saw no... line so made this happen! ???? you know I normally ask to staff what is good food here as my first visit and so far they arealways right! And again hit it???? I don?t like Lamb cause of smell but the manager strongly recommend so just trust him and nowI can eat lamb???????? that yogurt drink was so good but not for my hubby cause that is too sour for him ???? Came to see some family all the way from Toronto and wanted to have a get together so picked this place and have had no... complains. The food was explicit and had an authentic Lebanese taste which everyone liked. Would definitely visit again on mynext trip. Kudos to Mohammed for making a space for a huge group and being generous. Of places in downtown Vancouver, Paramount consistently deliver on the middle eastern food experience! Their focus on flavors,... variety and quality comes through extremely well. Close to our apartment, we have walked past this restaurant many times and it always seems busy inside. Thought to give it a... try. Ordered the chicken and beef shawarma, mixed grill platter and tabbouleh salad. The portions were decent size but the foodwas mediocre. The salad was drenched in dressing and very sour. Paramount is a great place if you want some Fine Foods. The prices are affordable while the amount is more than you'd expect. We... had Chicken and beef shawarma and both were great. Chicken was the better of the two though. The rice and fries were great aswell. Service could be better as it was slower than what you'd expect. It might be because there were only 2 front employeesfor the entire restaurant at the time. The atmosphere was alright. There was nothing special. It's a nice place although havingtables near the front where people would wait to be seated can be off-putting. Overall, the experience was highlighted by thefood. It's a place we'll go back to.
