Amazing French bakery. Everything was so good. The vanilla cappuccino was perfect and had a beautiful foam art design on it.... This place is a must try. We were walking down the road and almost stopped at Starbucks; so happy we kept walking anddiscovered cafe Paul! Read more

Went here for Lunch for the first time! As we do not live in Vancouver we decided to try it out. We ordered Brunch and it was... beautifully presented and came out at a reasonably fast time. I would say it is expensive for the portion size, however thetaste was lovely. I like how it is paired with a light salad, different from most breakfast places. The ambiance and interiordesign is unique and elegant. The service was also very top tier, quick, respectful and beautiful staff! We also ordered a fewpastries and they were the star of the show! The crusts for the tarts/pies were flaky and yummy. The strawberries andraspberries were fresh and ripe, they paired beautifully with dark chocolate and the light creamy texture. Everything wasperfect! I will definitely be coming back when I visit again, thanks for the wonderful experience! Read more

This place is AWESOME!!!! First time visiting Paul Cafe and I was simply amazed by the ambiance, coffee, and pastries here! The... service was outstanding and the presentation of coffee and pastries were beyond what I imagined!!! Very modern decoration andloved their giant TV on the wall! The coffee and tea were super tasty and all the pastries I tried were delicious! I can’twait to come back for more and try their food dishes! Perfect spot for dates, studying, family gatherings or probably anyoccasion! This place deserves nothing less than 5 stars and I will visit here every time I am in Vancouver and I recommend youto do the same!!! Read more

Great service and friendly staff. The ambiance is also very lovely. I would try to have lunch here one day. The space is open... and very bright. I ordered an almond milk latte and maybe it was the beans they used but I found the flavor overly bitter. Mycolleague had regular drip and also had a similar opinion that the flavour was on the bitter side. Although I didn't try themtoday. The pastries looked delicious. Read more

Paul was beautifully decorated for Christmas. It was a fun experience, but I found my initial introduction a bit offputting. The... hostess could've been more welcoming. But our server was lovely and so friendly and genuine. The food was really yummy, myfriends liked espresso martinis. I wish I'd had a pastry! Good idea to reserve. We didn't appreciate that we booked when happyhour was offered and they didn't warn us and stopped offering happy hour two days before our visit. We still had a good time butthere could've been better communication! Read more

The decor is nice, but unfortunately not enough servers for dine out. The poor servers seem really tired. Some consistency... issues with food quality and taste. For instance my gratin was lukewarm and seemed it was left out for a while. The fries thatcame along one of our steaks was refried to the point it was greasy and when you tried to pick it up with a fork they'd hop ofthe plate or break in half then shoot across the table. My steak was really nice whereas the other steak had a lot of sinew init. Good part about the desserts and drinks is the use of fresh fruit and they weren't overly sweet. Read more

We came for dine out Vancouver and got the eggplant lasagna and calamari appetizers, salmon and gnocchi entrees, and berry puff... pastry tart and chocolate cake with sorbet. We also got the Paul smoothie with strawberry and kiwi which was very good. Therewas hair in the salmon so they replaced the dish. The second salmon came out and it was sous vide so the texture felt likeundercooked fish. By this time we didn’t want another one. They took it away. Taste wise everything was delicious but thechocolate cake was bit drier. The servers were pleasant and patient but I would try again when it’s not on dine out to giveit another chance because I heard great reviews prior. Read more

Good that it's snowing and there was no queue. This place was normally crowded on regular days, just wondering then. Anyhow, the... ambiance inside is relaxing with 1 section for Cafe and another for restaurant. The interior French design is a plus. It isclean with available washroom. The only drawback is parking issue. If you are lucky, just avail curbside parking along RobsonStreet. There are more parking lots farther, though. Read more
