Expect disappointment and you won't be disappointed. An appropriate quote for Peckinpah. I guess we (unfortunately) expected too... much! I was really excited to eat here and was looking forward to it all day, seems I expected a bit much, spent a bit of moneyand left still hungry. Had to order at the bar (completely fine) but the ribs really need a steak knife not a butter knife asthey are tough as! Tasty, but a lot of work to get at the meat. Honestly the copper place across the road much better serviceand value for money We got 2 half racks of ribs, 2 beers, large fries and coleslaw for $78 incl tip. This is what we got. Worthalmost $80? You decide ???? Read more

Half rack of St Louis ribs should have 6 bones, not 4. You're getting 3 half racks out of a full 12 bone rack?? This place also... seems to specialize in bourbon whiskey they have quite the selection of quality whiskeys and bourbon, but without an experiencedbartender on duty on a long weekend, you'd best steer clear of the $13 whiskey sour. I had high hopes for this place and willprobably give it another shot in a month or so. Hopefully they'll have more staff on, I felt bad for the lone waitress who wastrying to do everything all on her own. Pic of untouched whiskey sour, no ice, far too much Angostura bitters. Read more

Ribs and wings were excellent. Out brisket was really dry. The Caesar was good too. Loved that they have these long tables so... our group of 9 could sit all together Read more

We went to the Squamish location for the first time. It felt not as good as their Gas Town location. Food was ok but I had... hoped for better. The smoked chicken was very dry and I wouldn?t order it again. Brisket was good around the fat but a littledry elsewhere. Pulled pork was good. Brussel sprouts and cauliflower were good, hush puppies were apparently really good (Ididn?t have any), mac?n?cheese was probably the best thing I had. Service was almost non-existent even though the place wasabout 10% full on a Friday night. We stood near the door for at least 5 minutes while a male server took orders from the onetable with ppl actively ordering things [slowly] and proceeded to go make them drinks [slowly] while we continued to wait. Wegot tired of standing around so asked if we could seat ourselves and they said yes so we sat next to that table. Then we waiteda good 10 minutes or so until our order was taken, during which time the male server visited the table next to us once or twiceand a female server who appeared cleared another table with nobody there anymore [slowly]. Once she came to our table, she wasvery nice though. Overall, this was not an experience that inspires me to go back when there are lots of other options near by.It?s a shame, since there are not that many good barbecue places in the lower mainland. One star because tip is default to 20% and guests were not given option to choose a different amount. Also service is non... existent, we visit when there's hardly any guest in the restaurant but had to try very hard to waive down a waiter to take ourorder when they avoid eye contacts and also we have to ask for cutlery ourselves when they should automatically provide for thetable. Food is okay, chicken wings are very very dry, pulled pork is decent; however, don't think I will ever come back. Read more

Food/portion was okay, bbq chicken and brisket were a little hard but we liked the fried chicken and their homemade sauces. Pork... ribs were sold out. Friendly staff. Read more

I came up from Vancouver in February having been to their original location in Gastown multiple times before. I was so excited... to eat here again! Unfortunately, the smoked brisket was so dry and salty!! We had ordered a full pound and I was sodisappointed. The wings were better and hush puppies were as good as I remembered hence the three stars. But $35 for some dryand very salty meat?. I know this isn?t the norm because a bit later, a friend ordered some brisket and it looked so juicy. Iguess I am disappointed they decided to serve this dry cut to us (and a full pound at that!) which is substandard for them. Read more
