Hard to believe a chain would have this good of a pie! Inventive flavors, great ingredients and dough. Don't need to go to a... fancy place for authentic pizza. This used to be one of my favorite pizza spots in downtown but the quality went so bad over the past months that I've decided to... not order there anymore. I was a regular customer always ordering for my family or small parties with friends, but today it isnot worth anymore. In my last 2 orders the pizza dough was burnt giving a bitter taste to the pizza. It's unfortunate and Ihope that Pizza Garden Management/HQ sees what is happening to the Smithe St unit and try to correct the issues. Oh my goodness! Amazing pizza that I had ( artichoke and tomato) and lovely staff!! It is a bit more expensive than some of the... close-by pizza joints on Granville but Certainly worth the extra couple bucks!! Could definitely use a bit of air con in therethough so would suggest take out! Read more
Very hit or miss though recently more miss. When made right the pizza is good but you never know if the pizza you order will be... made well. Quality just varies. Also in the past once you made your order they would usually give you a call to confirm it andto let you know of the wait time. Now however, they don't and you have no idea when your pizza will arrive because there is notime estimate anywhere. Ended up waiting 1h 45min for a pizza that was honestly not good. It came burnt and a bit of it wasstuck to the carboard box. Another time before that I ordered a pizza to go at the physical location. Stood there waiting for30min even though it didn't seem busy. One nice employee saw that I was still standing there and asked if I was waiting forsomething. He then saw that the pizza was already made and waiting but nobody had given it to me. He apologized and reheated itfor me because it got cold at that point. The service and quality is not worth the price. Read more
My go to neighborhood pizza place. The quality was generally better before the pandemic, now it’s quite hit or miss. Often now... the pizza isn’t even cut all the way through, or I’ve gotten a couple pizzas cut only into quarters lol. And sometimes thereisn’t an even spread of toppings. But the crust is the best ???????? Read more

This place has a lot of potential. But, the pizza just wasn't up to par. We ordered half smoked salmon and half supremo. It... only comes in one size. Large. Our pizza cost $33 and they charge extra for half and half, which makes sense....sort of. Whatlet it down was how the pizza was made. When you're paying premium prices for a pizza, and this is on the very high price range,you'd expect better quality. The salmon half...we couldn't even taste any salmon, as you will see on the pics...barely any. Itcomes with an alfredo sauce, which again barely any, so it ended up tasting quite dry. Also, with some meatier pizzas if theouter part of the crust is slightly toasty....that's fine but not the top part of the pizza, which you will again see in thepics was burnt. The supremo half of the pizza looked and tasted like an anorexic one. Overall, both sides of the pizza and theoverall taste was just....well....blahhh. Pizza was really crispy, sauce was really good but for a neapolitan theme pizza served in slices is kind of a cop out… While... I really enjoyed my slice it was a STRONG 7.0 if you are using the Barstool scale. It was too thin, it was a perfect texture,again the sauce stands out above everything and it was hot.
