We celebrated my husband's birthday here and were very impressed! The food was really creative and thought out. The flavors... alone we felt like we'd had before at other places however it was the way they combined them together which made this experiencestand out. The service was very attentive and friendly. The sommelier was very knowledgeable in helping us choose wine which complimented the dishes we chose. We ordered 6 dishes and 2 desserts between the 2 of us and it was a good amount! Must get the'Hay' dessert ... It was so good! Read more

Congrats on becoming one of the Top 100 in Canada, I can definitely see why! Now you might be wondering if I'm already praising... them, why am I only giving them a 4 star? It's mainly due to the 3+ hours we waited to finish the tasting menu. Other than that, the ambiance and food was amazing. We have always wanted to check out Published and I finally got a table for my girlfriendsbirthday so we were really excited to check them out. As I wasn't sure what to go for I thought a tasting menu would be the bestsolution. I can't remember exactly what each dish was but I have pictures to show you. Everything tasted as good as it lookedalthough I would have to say the appetizers were our favourite. Being on Main, parking can be hard to find depending on the dayand time. We went for dinner and got lucky a block away. I would say this is more of a dress to impress place so great for adate night or a boujee get together. If you haven't been, I highly recommend checking them out, just make sure you don't haveanywhere to go right after or in a rush. Read more

Service: Very friendly and personable service, we got good drink recommendations and the atmosphere was casual and not stuffy. ... We felt well taken care of, staff were all very attentive and made sure to refill our waters and to clean off plates. Thepacing was also excellent. Food: We got the tasting menu and unfortunately weren’t blown away despite all the accolades andpositive reviews. There were both highs and lows—but felt that there were more lows than highs. Without going into detailsfor each course—we felt that overall, many of the savoury dishes had a similar flavour profile. Most had a broth or saucethat were similar, an acidic cream-type sauce. Some of the elements were just so-so, we had dry beef, pasta that seemed a bitoverworked, etc. We also felt that the textures of each dish weren’t varied—many were a protein/veg with some sort of brothor sauce. That said, the first course was fun and tasty—it was great to have a bite of different flavours, textures and mixof savoury/sweet elements. The last protein dish was also super well prepared, the duck’s fat was perfectly rendered and themushrooms made a great companion. The first dessert was refreshing and well-balanced. I don’t think it would take much toelevate this menu and maybe we came on a slightly off day for the restaurant. Overall: Despite a so-so tasting menuexperience, we do want to try their a la cart menu. Perhaps we were also too hyped by their recent star and rave reviews sowill want to give it another shot. A truly brilliant dining experience. Every dish innovative yet not alien; like meeting a new friend you feel you always knew.... Room is sleek and retro/modern and somehow cozy and full of pleasantly excited energy. Stellar staff are all pros, we feltthoughtfully taken care of and really enjoyed our dinner from cocktails & wine to mains & dessert. Special occasion notrequired, just go. Read more

Had the 11 course tasting menu with wine pairings, amazing food and prompt service! Loved the unique flavours, creativity, and... beautiful plating. The wine pairings were thoughtful, wide variety including sake, orange wine, and some BC wines. Every coursewas a surprise. Definitely one of the best meals I've had. Read more

I had a pretty good dinner here. Lots of great things, but a slight disappointment as well, considering how this place was... picked as #1 in Canada by Canada’s 100 Best. (Their credibility just went down in my books.) Overall a great experience, priced reasonably, some tasted very good, others were good, at worst it was ok. Salmon was the biggest let down, wasn’t awarethat it was smoked. It was also a bit on the salty side and slightly overcooked. My favourite was surprisingly the prawn toast.Great flavour combinations. Desserts were nice. I would return for a couple of dishes. Read more

Had dinner here tonight with my wife and friends. Average cost for 4 of us was about $100 per head (before tax n tip), with a... drink of beer / wine. Ordered about 3 dishes each (portions get bigger as you move down the menu). Taste was superb though beprepared to order lots as portions are small. Elena's service was very professional and friendly. A definite treat for a specialoccasion. Read more

Dined in for the 11 course chefs menu - amazing presentation, fresh, local, seasonal ingredients, flavours were perfect. Nice... mixture of share plates and individual portions. Great selection of BC wines from smaller vineyards as well. One of the bettermeals we’ve had in Vancouver. Read more
