I visited last week with sis, food was good, I'd vote 4.5 stars as the sauce was a bit too sweet for my taste. Deep dried rice... cake is crispy, would love if there was more papaya pickled on top. Viet meatballs is amazing, juicy and tastes as original oneback home, love it. Also, chicken rice is a must try imo. Overall nice restaurant, good food. Read more

We ordered the pho Ga, Saigon curry noodles and the spring rolls. The presentation of the Saigon curry and pho dishes was very... nice but it was lacking a bit of taste. For the curry, I found that the salmon was cooked to perfection. However, I felt likethe wrong type of noodles were chosen for this dish and I couldn't really taste the curry. As for the Pho Ga, the broth did nothave much taste and the chicken was on the drier side. The noodles were a bit mushy and the same noodles were used as the currydish which, in my opinion, is the wrong type of noodles for the pho as well. The spring rolls were really good, I wouldrecommend it. Overall, the service was great and the food came relatively quickly. Please try it out and see for yourself. Ido think that this place has a lot of potential! Read more

(8/8/21 - Edit) I made a reservation with SX for the 7th, but was unpleasantly surprised to find out the restaurant had been... shut down due to health violations. It would have been nice to get a call back so I could have made other plans instead oftrying to find another option at 645pm on a Saturday. I would definitely call a few hours beforehand to ensure they are open ifyou plan to visit (apparently Google won't accept my suggestion that the restaurant is temporarily closed). While I still standby my positive views on the restaurants plant based options, I was disappointed that I couldn't receive any news of the closureso I could adjust my plans. ----- My favourite option for plant-based foods in Yaletown. I regularly crave the vegan vermicellihere, and the bun bo hue and curry are awesome too (albeit a bit lacking in the spice department). The staff is always friendlyand they have a beautiful covered patio which is super comfortable in all seasons! My favourite option for plant-based foods inYaletown. We came in late at night, hungry and in a rush. We ordered spring rolls, Cóm Gá Thõ fried chicken with rice, and Phõ... Chay. Let's start with the positive review. -The service was really nice. Our server was great. When i dropped the chopsticks, she gave me 2 sets of chopsticks right away. Other servers were polite as well, and the manager came to each table to check howwe doing. -the spring rolls is really good and nice texture finished on the wrapper. It is different than other Vietnameserestaurant. Now, the negative. - the main complain about the food is the Burnt chicken we were given as you can see in thepicture. It is burnt and not even close to the one on their menu photo. The chicken obviously had burnt taste, and it was chewyand stringy due to overcooking. It was also bland. We just didnt have the time to complain and wait for the dish to be remake,so we just moved along. -also, washroom is not clean. Probably not often monitored, because there is no paper towel in thedispenser and the garbage bin is broken so a lot of used tissues are on the sides of the garbage. Giving it a 3 stars insteadof 2 just because the server is great. The food needs help Read more

Tried to look for an open space to sit down and have lunch. The waitress, though new to this but very attentive. There was no... physical menu and I was asked to scan the QR code to view the menu but download was not successful. I then just asked verballywhat they had for lunch and all I needed was just simple food to fill my stomach. The waitress suggested 3 items from theirspecial lunch combo and I chose the chicken with yellow rice which comes with a hot soup and s coke. The soup was pure msg waterwith a small handful of bean sprouts and a few pieces of tomato which has not been boiled with the soup - a little frustrationarose was that the waitress had her gloved hand dipped into my bowl of soup while serving! Then came the main chicken ricepresented with a fairly large covered clay pot which is not very practical - there was no side dish/bowl offered to scoop outthe content from inside the pot; the rice was rather tasteless and dry, it actually turned out even drier when placed inside thehot pot; the chicken leg was also tasteless and dry, it looks as if it had left in the warmer from the morning after fried.Frankly speaking, it was one of the very worst meals I've ever had in the restaurants. Moreover, I did not find the dishresembling any trace of Vietnamese culture. The only thing that was up to standard was the ice cold can of coke served with thepaper straw. The damage was $19.90 plus gratuity. That was actually my first dine out after my 5 months of COVID 19 locked in,that probably made me feel better. Come on the owner of this restaurant, have a heart with the food you serve to the people! Read more

Service was incredible. Food was very mediocre. The viet savoury crepe was torn and wasn't intact. Skewers were a bit dry. Pan... seared halibut was delicious and desserts are yummy. All in all, authentic dishes are not done well but fusion dishes are atreat. Read more
