Very good. I thought there wouldn?t be any people considering all the constructions around but there were plenty of sitting... customers. The speed is slower than Hornby location. I personally prefer the Hornby location because the avocados they givethere seemed to be more generous. Waitress was very nice and had a great memory. There are small details around which made theexperience great. For example there are alcohol bottles on every table for sanitizing. The fake bamboo leaves and thepresentation of each dish. The only problem was the wifi password provided was not correct. No big deal, plenty of otheravailable networks. Read more

Picked up 2 rolls from the broadway location. Spicy Tuna and Spicy Salmon at lunch today. I was very disappointed when I ate... them. The rolls did not feel fresh and both the tuna and salmon felt chewy. I hope I do not get a stomach ache or get sick. Iused to love Shizenya at the previous location and maybe very low traffic and poor turnover means fish is not as fresh as itused to be at this new location. Last time for me. Am very disappointed. One of my favourite Sushi place in Vancouver. (Located on Broadway right across Staples) They have tons of vegeterian, GF and... regular menu options. The staff is super friendly (both in person and on the phone) If you live close by, definitely come andgive it a shot! Keep it up Shizenya! Read more

Hard to find sushi restaurants that use organic brown rice and vegetables. You will find it at Shi Zen Ya. I went to the... location on Broadway. We ordered dynamite roll with organic avocado. It was delicious! Next we had Sakura Blossom roll withreal crab meat, spicy albacore tuna with wild sockeye salmon on top. This tasted so fresh and feeling good knowing theingredients are organic and local. Lastly we had vegetable tempura with whole wheat. Many vegetarian options for sushi here! Our favorite was the yam tempura roll and spicy agedashi tofu, so crispy and flavorful.... Would definitely be visiting again. Small place and only 3-4 tables available for seating due to social distancing but was quietwhen we visited in the afternoon. Great place for those who are more health conscious and even vegan, which isn?t typical for sushi. I got the vegan combo, which... was decent value and left me feeling content. The most important thing was once I finished my food, I didn?t feel like I wasmissing out on anything. I?d say this place is a bit more expensive than your typical Japanese place - it?s focused towardsthose who would pay more for healthier options essentially.
