Awesome fusion tacos. Just note - the door on main street is for one half of restaurant that is for take out and quick bite. The... menu here is different. The back side has entry through alley. That is where restaurant is. We tried crispy chicken taco andeggplant taco. Both were great. Eggplant taco surprised us on how good it was compared to expectations. Server was reallyawesome as well. Ordered chicken bowl online and this is by far the worst of the worst . So dry chicken and the coating makes 50% of the size of... it. Barley any rice or greens. Just a small layer in between the pieces.. the are a ?restaurant ? but not even street food hasthis bad quality ! Came here for lunch over the long weekend. It was not too busy, we chose to sit inside at one of the high top tables. Nice... atmosphere and cute decor. I got the mango arbol margarita to drink, it was delicious, sweet with a little bit of a spicy kick!To eat I got the fish, eggplant and crispy oyster mushroom. The mushroom was my favourite out of the 3, the eggplant is a bitmessy since it's one big chunk, probably would be better and easier to eat if cut into smaller pieces but the flavours weregood. My boyfriend got the chicken and steak tacos. He did not really enjoy the steak taco, he said it was a little dry. If Iever visit Vancouver again I will definitely come back and also would like to try their burrito bar. Read more
The jalapeno margaritas and the cute outdoor seating area were the best part of the experience! I highly recommend coming during... happy hour (I believe it's from 3:00pm to 6:00pm) for some good deals. For food, I just had the nachos, which were very uniqueand delicious. I think this Tacofino location probably has the best decor. I love the fish tacos and nachos!! The sangria was a little too flat... for me or something was missing. I prefer their margaritas. The staff are friendly. I like coming at happy hour because it?smuch more chill. Weekend evenings get pretty busy. Read more
I used to enjoy eating here. Usually, the place has excellent, attentive service and stellar food. But, the last time I went,... about a week and a half ago, all of the above points were lacking. One of the chicken tacos we had (we ordered two) had asignificant, soggy bit that took up the entire taco. It was a small piece of chicken with a gross soggy dredge. Most of thetacos were cool when in the past, they were warmed through. And unfortunately, the diablo cookie was a bit on the stale side. Idid eat it as it was ?to go,? and it still wasn't bad. I will give them another shot because, normally, their food isconsistently delicious. I will update my review the next time I'm in the city. Read more
