Unfortunately I?m gonna have to switch my review of Tacofino after an awful experience. We went with a couple of friends and... ordered for dine in. Their food arrive, they finished everything, even dessert, and ours didn?t come. Since they ordered maybe10 minutes before us, we just waited. But after 30 minutes had passed we asked the servers a couple times and they just said?it?s coming soon?. When it finally arrived, almost an hour later, the server didn?t provide any explanation about what happenedand simply said, in the most automatic way, ?sorry about that?. We ordered 6 fish tacos: 2 of them were pretty much just friedbatter, there was almost no fish inside (maybe 15% fish, 85% batter); the other 4 were okay (still way more batter than theusual amount on previous visits). So we?re paying 8.50 to eat fried batter. After our friends insisted that we say something, weshowed it to a server, which didn?t say anything just went back to the kitchen, and then came back with another taco some 10minutes later. Again, no communication whatsoever. The whole thing was just very frustrating, specially since this used to beone of my favourite places in the city, so I don?t think I?ll be going back there. It can get busy here during lunch hour on weekdays. The seating, ambiance and service is all fast casual style. Great for quick... bite. Love their Crispy Chicken and Lemongrass Chicken Burrito. Although I wish the sauces weren?t extra, they?re worth thedollar. Be sure to dip your burrito in a verde or roja sauce to get that extra kick. Read more
Went here for dinner and had a great experience. There was a line up around 5:30pm on a Tuesday which is usually a good sign.... Line up went by fairly quick. Ordered at the counter and the cashier was super helpful explaining to us the ordering process andtheir menus posted on the wall. I ordered what the cashier recommended based upon my meat preferences so I got the braised beefburrito and a sangria. Took maybe 15minutes for the food to come to our table. Price was very good for the amount of food wegot and it tasted amazing and the portions won't leave you hungry by the end of it. The only criticism I can think is that Iwish a side was included just to break the monotony of eating the same thing for the entire meal and to make it feel more of a"complete" meal. My taco cravings were satisfied at this popular BC taqueria offering super unique & bomb tacos ???? When I visited, they weren?t... open for dine in as they put up a paper that said they were understaffed. I still ordered takeout for the lemon grass chickentaco which was still so good. Visited here a couple times and it?s usually quite good. The manager is super friendly and accommodating which I really... appreciate. Some of the staff seem a little annoyed at times, but I?ve worked in the industry sooo I get it lol. Food is alwaysgood. Love the nachos, fish tacos, and chicken burritos. They also have awesome margaritas and the sangria is a steal at happyhour for $5! We love the patio and will definitely be back soon Read more
Cool little spot to visit for a bite to eat. The soft and crunchy taco?s were delish! Chips and guac were okay, but... underwhelming, would not order again. Not a lot of seating available but the feel of the space is nice. Read more
I had every single taco from their menu and in my opinion the best one is the cauliflower taco. But seriously, you can?t go... wrong with any other taco here. After visiting a couple of other taco places in downtown, I would still come back to Tacofinobecause I know I won?t be disappointed. And I liked that the staff was always patient and understanding with my requests toadjust the ingredients in some tacos. Read more
I like the food but the service here is so horribly inconsistent that it ruins the experience. I always order the lemongrass... tofu done vegan, and it?s never served to me the same way twice. Sometimes it comes with a ramekin of vegan lime mayo on theside. Sometimes it doesn?t and I have to ask for it. Sometimes when I ask for it, the staff tell me it?s an additional charge.Sometimes they tell me it?s supposed to come with it. Sometimes the vegan lime mayo served to me is actually not vegan, and it?sthe dairy based lime sauce instead. Unless you enjoy playing roulette with your food, don?t eat here. Read more
