Delicious pad thai and spring roll. Waitress was understanding about my plant-based diet, and took initiatives to ask me if... ingredients from my order would be ok. Would highly recommend this place. Read more

The fact that there are ANY negative reviews of this place is ridiculous! Been coming here for years and can say wholeheartedly... it's one of the best restaurants in Vancouver. A total hidden gem and a real asset to this neighbourhood. The food is consistentand always flavourful (I've tried pretty much the whole menu by now), the prices are very reasonable and the service is friendlyand efficient. Don't listen to haters, this place is legit. Read more

I’m always on the lookout for Thai restaurants that I’ve never tried before so Talay Thai has been on my radar in case I... ever found myself in the South Granville area. We showed up for lunch one weekday in early November and tried some of theirlunch specials. The Kaeng Khiew Waan ($11) or Green Curry Chicken is one of my go-to dishes when I visit a Thai restaurant. Bothlunch specials come with a freshly fried up crispy springroll filled with tightly wrapped on vermicelli noodles. My impressionof the Pad Thai Prawns ($11) was very much like the green curry chicken… a bit basic and the flavours appeared to cater moreto the western palate. There was nothing wrong with the food and it was a fair price for the somewhat smaller lunch size. Butthere was nothing here that would make me go out of my way to try their food. Perhaps it was just their limited lunch menu. Iwould have liked to have tried some classic Thai appetizers to see how they compared. Read more

This place has a beautiful vibe. Top class service, super friendly and welcoming, goes above and beyond to make sure a customer... gets what he wants! This experience lasted from when I called to check if they were open for business until we had our dinnerand took off from the place! Definitely makes you wanna go back ?? As for the food; We got chicken satay, Thai basil fried riceand pad Thai. All the dishes were delicious and as requested. Peanut sauce that came with satay was the best I had tilldate. Pad Thai was juicy and topped the show :) Going back before I’m off to Toronto to try green curry :) Amazing job team! Read more
