Good, affordable sushi! It's not special but they don't skimp on ingredients in their rolls like some places. Service is pretty... good and they appear to have decent sanitary measures in place. There is restaurant is not using fancy display or deco to continue win more and more customers like us, we had been toldhow unbelievably to pay the same price you will not get the same quality in the downtown core. Tentatsu is a neighborhood restaurant. My mother and I both like to eat there, especially lunch. We usually order their lunch... box (C) and noodle combo (B). If you are not looking for high-end sushi, this place offers you great-value Japanese food. Thewaitress there remembers us and always provides attentive service. By the way, the waiter recommended the sakura rolls lasttime, which was juicy and delicious. Read more
This used to be my go to neighbourhood sushi restaurant a few years ago. Then they started with the "supersized" rolls and I... stopped going. Thought I'd give them another try last night and sadly was disappointed. First off there were maybe 4 otherparties there when we ordered but the service was incredibly slow. My vegan partner waited and waited to get any of her foodwhile my dishes trickled out. It was infuriating as the restaurant filled up. But worse, why do sushi restaurants feel they haveto American-size their rolls? That is just not what sushi is meant to be. I shouldn't need a knife and fork, and the flavoursare all washed out by excessive rice and wrong proportions of ingredients. The thing falls apart as you try to eat it. It'sdisturbing really, if this is what "the market demands". It's an abomination of what should be an art. Read more
